I had a gluten-free turkey pastrami sandwich, which I didn’t even know as possible. The food were definitely isn’t as bright when you’re gluten-free so I really appreciated this experience. I was feeling extra so I got some sweet potato fries which were gluten-free as well. Overall chefs kiss. 💋 I definitely woke up like a balloon, but I presume that was due to the sodium content in my choice.

I cannot recommend this place enough. What an Austin gem! We showed up one evening with our big group, not realizing how small this restaurant was - but the ladies there got us some chairs and drinks while we waited for a few tables to free up. My aunt has a severe gluten allergy and they went above and beyond to make sure she had something delicious she could eat safely. The food was incredible, the atmosphere felt very much like old Austin, and the service was impeccable. Warm, friendly, tasty… you cannot go wrong.

I love the staff and the selection available. The price point is a little higher than I prefer but it makes sense for the product they carry and the neighborhood they serve. Huge gluten free/ paleo / keto selection - esp given their size. There is a wonderful little deli for breakfast/ lunch items. I had the trout salad which was tasty and pretty. Great little bougie neighborhood nook.

Bureau de Poste is one of the most elegant dining experiences in Austin. The food is outstanding—the roasted chicken is perfectly cooked with crisp skin and rich, creamy (gluten-free!) potatoes. The lobster is equally impressive—tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I really appreciate how gluten-free friendly the menu is. Several dishes are naturally GF or can be modified, and the staff was helpful and informed when I asked questions. The ambiance is refined yet comfortable, with excellent service from start to finish.
