Great atmosphere! Beautiful building and nice history. While we thoroughly enjoyed the bruschetta with its nice balanced flavours and our mains (especially since everything was gluten free!), it was sad to hear that the seafood was farmed, especially when living so close to the river and coastline!
The service was especially poor. I tried a number of times to ask for takeaway container for leftovers but was just ignored by wait staff. In the end my boyfriend had to leave the table and track someone down.

Rubonys cafe is a must stop for all locals in grafton and anyone travelling through! The customer service i received here was incredible! The food is amazing as it’s always a generous portion, served hot and fresh and you don’t have to wait long at all! Great coffee! There are many options to choose from that also accommodate for vegan, vegetarian and gluten free individuals. Rubonys cafe has something for everyone, including hand crafted merchandise that supports other local businesses. It’s refreshing to see such original ideas and variety within a small community.
