My partner being vegetarian, it was difficult to find somewhere to eat in Sarlat in the Dordogne, a mecca of French gastronomy, but that was without counting on La Chèvre et le Chou.
3 starters (vegetarian, gluten-free, or vegan)
3 main courses (vegetarian, gluten-free, or vegan)
3 desserts (vegetarian, gluten-free, or vegan)
Each dish is prepared with finesse and precision.
A delight for the taste buds, proving that even without fish or meat, it is possible to truly enjoy eating vegetarian dishes.
In addition to the culinary experience, La Chèvre et le Chou is located not far from the main square, but the interior courtyard isolates you from the noise, allowing you to spend a pleasant time.
My wife being Coeliac, trying to find places to eat Gluten free are difficult in France.... especially crêpes.
This place certainly brought a smile to our faces.
Brilliant.
AMAZING! We spotted this cute place on our way to a fancy restaurant and are so happy we did a u-turn to come here as the food is incredible. We had a selection of dishes (all gluten-free I believe you may want to double check) which is rare in France! The flavours are bold, the ingredients are fresh and it was so good we ate here for lunch & dinner. The price is also great and the outdoor seating is perfect when the weather is good. Highly recommend for anyone visiting this area. We also got takeaway spring rolls for our train journey home the next day.
Everything very very good. Very French food and the little ones enjoyed their children's raclette like no one else. By the way, the waitress knows perfectly well what it means to eat gluten-free.
