I am on the cusp of rating this between a 3.5 and 4. The gluten free fish and chips at No.1 were excellent, and had a very crispy and tasty batter. The fish and chips were also cooked in a separate fryer, ensuring safety for those who are gluten intolerant. The day I visited, I was unable to sit in the main restaurant, and had to eat my order in the car (I would have eaten it near the water, but it was raining). I also found the service a bit cold, but I wasn’t too concerned as I was grabbing takeout. Something I’d like to mention is the cost - I found it rather expensive for what it was. While I don’t mind paying more for a hearty portion of fish, the additions were rather pricey. You had to pay for mayonnaise/ ketchup/ tartar sauce. Most places I’ve visited offer a bit of one condiment free to accompany your order. Also, I think paying £1 for a small gherkin is exorbitant. Regardless of my qualms, this is probably your best option for a free from gluten fish and chips jn Cromer.

What a great cafe! A well deserved 5 star. We were all greeted with a warm welcome and the menu was explained to us. We had a mixture of lunch, cream teas and a breakfast. (Breakfast finished at 12 noon however, they very kindly cooked my husband a full breakfast). The food was excellent. Locally sourced sausages and bread too. I had a gluten free panni and a fruit scone. Baked to perfection! It didn't fall apart when I cut into it. I was so pleased to hear that they bake all of their gluten free cakes and scones, first thing on a Sunday after they have cleaned all of the kitchen down the night before. As I have coeliac this was very impressive as this avoids cross contamination. The cheese scones were amazing too. The kids enjoyed their lunch as well. Would highly recommend and if I visited on holiday again I would definitely return. Thank you!

A really lovely place to eat. Unsure of where was best to eat, we called in here. We were made very welcome and were given a choice of tables. I chose crab salad and this was very well presented and delicious too. Portion sizes were generous. Pudding was syrup sponge, equally as good. This restaurant had a good choice of gluten free foods and were very helpful too. Looking forward to a return visit next time we're in Norfolk
