Make reservations well in advance! This location was near the London Palladium where we were seeing a show. It is very important to note that Dishoom is very serious about allergens, but not all locations have the same dishes. The Carnaby location is a bit limited on its GF entree choices. Because of my husband’s many preferences plus GF needs, he felt his only choice was the Mutton Pepper Fry, which ended up being tender and delicious. There were more side and small plates that were GF or could be modified. The Carnaby location is in a bustling pedestrian area that is bustling with bars, pubs, and shopping. Our reservation was early so we had time to walk through Carnaby and into Piccadilly before our show.
Specific note: if you have airborne wheat allergies, the bathrooms are in the basement and you must walk through the naan baking section and flour is abundant. It’s cool to watch unless you’re allergic.

Gorgeous restaurant to go with amazing food. I had the 8 Hour Beef & Ukrainian Porcini Bolognese, Hand Cut Pappardelle, Parmesan. What a dish! I couldn't even finish it but it was so tasty. My boyfriend had gluten free pasta with tomato sauce and he cleaned the plate. We would definitely come back again.

Visited for lunch and had a good experience overall. Ordered baba ghanoj and hummus dips, falafel and roasted cauliflower mezzes, and larger plates of shish tawook and lamb skewers.
The dips were fresh and the falafel was well made. The roasted cauliflower was overcooked for my taste, too soft and lacking bite, though my partner enjoyed the texture. The lamb skewers were great quality; however, the sweet potato mash on the side felt out of place and I thought the seasoning of it did not complement the lamb.
The shish tawook was decent. The chicken was tender with a nice char without being burnt, but the side potatoes were unremarkable and the harissa mayo was overly mayo-forward. The dish felt a little disjointed.
A big positive was how well they catered to gluten intolerance, offering gluten-free pita, and beer, which was great to see. Service was friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed - great space.
