Our go to lunch spot in Totnes. Gluten free options are great (the pizzas are brilliant, far better than I can do at home) but the surcharge for gf is a tiny bit much. Love the place though!
Intimate, elegantly crafted taster menu with gluten-free adaptations that maintain exceptional quality.

We had the Fixed Price Menu which was very tasty. They accommodated a gluten free vegetarian diet with ease. The staff were friendly and explained the meals as they arrived. We will be returning.

Please be careful if you have dietary restrictions.
We chose the Waterside Bistro for dinner as my niece is gluten and dairy intolerant and the menu has gf/df pizza. We were careful when ordering to ensure this was known. When her pizza arrived, she took one bite and said the cheese tasted different to normal and we noticed it didn't look like regular dairy free cheese. The waitress confirmed it was not dairy free, she was very apologetic and they quickly brought another pizza. However, the damage was already done by the one bite, and my niece was incredibly unwell all night and continues to be the next day. They also advertised a df/gf sundae on the menu, we double checked and they said it was not df/gf and they had realized a few days earlier this was wrong on the menu but hadn't yet changed it.
It is incredibly disappointing and worrying that intolerance and allergies are not treated more carefully at this restaurant, as for some people this kind of negligence and mistakes can be life threatening. And for my niece, her holiday is now being spent being very sick. We have contacted the restaurant and hope they rectify this immediately for other diners.
