Our family's favorite Wolfeboro pizza place. Their Gluten-free pizza and chicken tenders are a huge hit with my family. We've gotten many of their pizzas and a few subs, all are pretty good.
Honestly, our server was very strange and incompetent. My mom, sister, and I all have celiac. We all got glutened. Our waitress kept “joking” about our allergies and then swearing we would be fine. We were not fine. I think it’s probably fine if you have a normal server who takes you seriously.
WOW - I can’t believe we didn’t come here sooner!! If you’re in Wolfeboro (or anywhere in this whole area of New Hampshire, for that matter) and you’re craving a high-quality burger, sandwich, a wide range of shareables, and just great gastropub-style food, this is the place to go!! It’s got something for everyone, an amazing gluten-free selection, great service, and some of the best food I’ve had anywhere here!
We got a wide range of different things: pretzels w/beer cheese, fried calamari, mac & cheese, fried chicken sandwich, fish & chips, “Smoke On the Water” burger, and “Figgy” burger! Everything was incredible! The burgers and fried chicken sandwich were some of the best we’ve EVER had, the fish & chips tasted exactly like they should, calamari was a really solid classic calamari, pretzels w/ beer cheese were an amazing starter, and mac & cheese was the perfect guilty pleasure! So many great selections but if you’re coming here for your first time, I highly recommend the burgers. Get the “Smoke On the Water” or the “Figgy” burgers, and if hamburgers aren’t your thing, get the fried chicken sandwich. We were so happy with our meal and we cannot wait to go back! Well done to the Wolfe’s Tavern team!!
White pizza is amazing and they have a really great gluten free crust. High quality, fair price, ready when they said it would be and still perfectly hot when we got it home! Will absolutely be ordering from them again :)
I booked this restaurant for my rehearsal dinner the night before my wedding because they assured me everything could be made gluten free multiple times. We had many conversations about the foods chosen and I was clear that everything had to be safe for people with celiac disease because I have it and many of my guests do as well. The night of the rehearsal dinner I ate several shrimp before learning that they had dried it in flour and then rinsed the flour off. The manager became defensive when I was upset and said that “he told me the shrimp couldn’t be made gluten free.” I certainly would not have ordered it if that was the case. Do not recommend!!
