We do takeout for salads and pizza, so can’t tell you about atmosphere, but it’s clean when we go in and we always get our food fast.
The best tip is to always order the custom salad or pizza toppings - you get loads more!
I am not celiac, but order the cauliflower crust with dairy-free cheese. There’s also a gluten-free crust. It came loaded and crispy crust as I requested. It’s awesome to pick from 40 toppings and choose how much of each. I like regular amount of toppings, but extra chicken.
Make your own salad! There are three simple sizes. I get the mid-size with no dressing for the leftovers or sharing.
Again, don’t order the standard advertised pies, make your own and get more toppings! We made that mistake - once. Now we are 100% happy with results!
Rachel was our server and she was amazing!! She was able to get my partner’s meal gluten free and offered me 3 types of hot sauce. So friendly and such quick service here. The food was amazing and fair priced for the portions. Couldn’t recommend this place more 😃
Fabulous experience. By far the best Italian food I’ve had in the states. Their beef carpaccio took me back to Florence, Italy! We loved the atmosphere and every aspect of our meal. We dined for Charlotte Restaurant Week and loved trying out some of their specials as well. Their pasta was flawless, perfectly cooked with sauces that held up well. I’m sadly gluten free (celiac) and was thrilled to choose from any pasta, besides one. Most places in Charlotte feature one overcooked pasta substitute, but they provided many gluten free options that were served al dente. My partner got the elk secondi and it was some of the most tender meat we’ve ever had. The drinks were fantastic; dare I say the best old-fashioned in Charlotte? Truly exceptional. Our server was a woman with short hair and glasses- she was simultaneously generous and informative. She made sure I could safely enjoy my meal and timed the food service expertly. Absolutely no notes for this place. I can’t wait to come back and highly recommend it!
So nice to have a Superica location in south Charlotte — much easier to navigate the area than in SouthEnd.
Good this visit was some of the better food we have had at Superica — kudos to the team for enhancing some of the flavors. The salsa to start was delicious — great balance of spice — and chips we definitely fresh.
Ground beef nachos were ok — a bit too much cheese left then greasy, and portion was not as big as expected, but it was a fine plate.
Menu is not labeled with allergies or vegetarian options. Team member was able to answer in things were gluten free — but we had to ask about any options that interested us. Would be great to have a menu with indications. Also ordered the shrimp tacos — flavors were great, but food was covered with unseasoned slaw/lettuce slaw ended up impacting the temperature of the tacos — and made it hard to start eating the tacos. Could see this dish laid out differently as this “topping” took away from the overall enjoyment of the food.
Team was super friendly — don’t forget to use the online wait list option — saved us a bit of waiting time! Worth the visit for a date night or a larger group dinner.
