Ok hear me out. I’ve always loved Indian food. From childhood to adulthood, loved it. That goes without saying, I’ve eaten at many Indian restaurants. But did I really? Because after eating at Delhi6, I’m wondering if I’ve ever had authentic Indian food before. Delhi6 was NEXT LEVEL. From the mango lassi, to the appetizer, to the entree, to the butter naan, to the absolute best service (shout out to Yolanda!), when it comes to Indian cuisine, this restaurant is it. There are also lots of vegetarian and gluten-free options! PSA: If you’re visiting Delhi6 and having Indian food for the first time, just know that everywhere else is going to be disappointing because you’re starting off with the best lol

The Lost Colony Tex-Mex Restaurant truly embodies its motto: “Escape the Everyday.” From the moment you step through the grand storybook double doors, you’re transported into a lush, biophilic environment that’s unparalleled in the DFW area. The interior design is so meticulously crafted that it feels like walking into a Pinterest board, with every corner offering a new visual delight. Even the restrooms are thoughtfully themed, maintaining the immersive experience throughout.
The restaurant features three distinct patios, each catering to different preferences. There’s an adults-only patio, providing a serene retreat, and a spacious play area shaped like a ship for families. Some areas even incorporate fog effects, enhancing the enchanting and realistic ambiance.
Upon arrival, guests are greeted with the enticing aroma of fresh tortillas being made right at the entrance. The commitment to accommodating various dietary needs is evident, with options like gluten-free chips and a menu free of pork in the beans. Many dishes can be customized to be vegetarian or vegan, with staff knowledgeable about substitutions.
Our server, Amy, was an absolute delight. She was both helpful and informative without being overbearing, making us feel as though we were dining at a friend’s house. By the end of our visit, we were taking pictures together and sharing hugs. Jason, the manager, was equally patient and gracious, even offering us a tour of the expansive establishment.
The culinary offerings are both generous and flavorful. We were treated to a complimentary appetizer that included not just chips and salsa, but also black beans and cheese. The guacamole exceeded expectations in both taste and quantity. The enchiladas were authentic and delicious, though the beans could benefit from a bit more seasoning. Dessert was a highlight, with the best churros we’ve ever had—house-fried and covered in brown cinnamon sugar, served with a house-made chocolate dipping sauce.
The drink menu is equally impressive, offering a taste of the tropics with spirits, fresh fruits, and pure agave nectar in each of their house-made margaritas. For those looking to elevate their experience, there’s an option to infuse your margarita with CBD-infused agave nectar.
Additionally, they offer unique non-alcoholic beverages that are worth trying, such as Horchata water, Hibiscus water, Watermelon Fresca, and a Lemon Lime Fresca that tastes like the best lemonade you’ve ever had.
With offerings like lunch combos, happy hour specials, and weekend brunch, there’s always a reason to return. I, for one, am eager to come back for brunch and explore more of what The Lost Colony has to offer.

My family visits this location several times a week to use my Tea Pass. Everyone is always friendly and most of the employees recognize us and even remember my tea order! Erin helped us tonight and was wonderful as always. The employees seem to truly about each other and their customers. I eat here frequently as well. I am gluten free due to celiac disease and I have never had an issue with their food. I highly recommend this location!

The most recent reviews seem pretty spot on. Service was fair, lots of tables still had plates on them and even if they were cleared, they were still sticky or not cleaned well. Food was mediocre, especially for the price. My husband and I both got the chicken salad - his on a croissant and mine was on gluten free bread. His side salad was not good. Lettuce was definitely kept too cold and was translucent and slimy. I give them 2 stars for the food because the chicken salad itself was meh, fine, and at least they had gluten free bread as an option. Definitely no napkins out, I’m guessing maybe because people take too many? If you’re worried about costs, maybe look into your food waste/costs. No one should be eating that lettuce. It doesn’t feel like a cafe that should be in Highland Village. We probably won’t be back.
