Best GF hamburger bun I’ve ever had, and I didn’t get sick! After a week of subsistence on protein bars and hard-boiled eggs, I was more than ready for a solid meal. The beef burgers are definitely the basic frozen food-service patties- nothing special- but it was fast, filling, tasty, and safe. And $12 for a GF double cheeseburger is a steal.
I told the cashier that I had a gluten allergy, and that I understood that they had GF buns. I kind of had to walk her through the protocols. She did not mark allergy on my ticket, but when I asked, she confirmed that meat and buns are cooked on totally separate places on the grill.
I asked the guy putting together my order if they could change gloves for a gluten allergy, and he said, “Yes, the protocol is that we change gloves and put down foil.”
The spinach salad was a nice option too- some walnuts, craisins, and red onion. The dressing choices were a weird fit though- ranch, Italian, Caesar, Thousand Island. I picked Thousand Island and the dressing packet did say GLUTEN FREE on the back.
