Having been celiac for several years, this establishment is extraordinary. I've never seen one so diverse (brands I didn't even recognize), beautifully designed, and above all, with such a knowledgeable and pleasant owner. She offers sweet and savory products, as well as drinks. Last but not least, there are delicious homemade dishes (burgers, quiches, lasagnas, salads, focaccias, etc.), desserts (cookies, tiramisu, cake, panna cotta, etc.), and excellent fresh bread.
I highly recommend this establishment; I would love to have one like this in Toulouse. In any case, as soon as I'm back in La Rochelle, I'll definitely return.
Fantastic crepes. Staff was very nice and accommodating. They spoke good French and English and were very helpful. Gluten Free crepes available (they were very nice). Coffee was nice also. Reasonably priced.
Discovered this restaurant because I was looking for a gluten-free restaurant, a first for me... A real treat for the taste buds, a delight! As a bonus, a surprise at the back of the restaurant... A garden, a cocoon after the bustle of the market 😊 the whole team takes great care... In a word TOPISSIME!!!
Little advice: remember to book 😉
The tea room is cozy, with a pleasant piano ambiance, beautiful decor, and friendly staff.
We ordered a herbal tea and coffee with two gluten-free pastries: a brownie and a "George." The latter was very good, but the brownie, on the other hand, wasn't at all to our taste. It was very pasty and unpleasant to eat; we couldn't finish it.
We'll be back for a lovely, peaceful atmosphere.
Great products made with organic flour. Products suitable for people with gluten intolerance. Delicious, well-made cakes. Friendly service and reasonable prices. Nothing more could you ask for.
A restaurant with simple and extremely kind people and homemade cuisine like we would like to see everywhere! Excellent vegetarian and gluten-free dish I recommend +++
This hotel was perfect for us. It's centrally located, and we asked for a quiet room. The reception offered us a charming attic room. The bedding was great, as were the sheets and pillows.
A varied breakfast (sweet and savory). And, best of all, for me, who is gluten and lactose intolerant (an autoimmune disease), there was everything we needed in gluten-free options: bread, crackers, homemade cake, sheep's milk yogurt, and even peanut butter! A suggestion, offering corn flakes would be a plus, as there were only cereals containing gluten (except oats, which are difficult to digest when cold). Thank you again for the welcome and for everything.
This is my HQ. I have an allergy problem. So suffice to say that gluten prevents me from going to a lot of restaurants. But at Mamie Bigoude, there are pancakes. I enjoy it every time. Being disabled, I am often at the bottom. But on two occasions, even though it wasn't easy for me, I wanted to go upstairs. I didn't regret the "bedroom" area, I loved it. The staff are lovely and attentive. I recommend. The only regret is that it's not big enough because places are quickly reserved 😅
The place is quiet, the waiter is very friendly, I think it's really good for the price. We have a multitude of choices, they make pancakes with 100% buckwheat flour, therefore gluten-free, which is very good for me because I am allergic to it. It is very suitable for children. I think this creperie is very good and I highly recommend it.
Such fantastic delicious food. My family and I loved it here, interesting menu and very friendly staff.
My parents’ gluten intolerance was no issue and they found safe food with no issues that they really enjoyed.
I would really recommend this restaurant, it was a highlight of our trip.
Monvoisin is a little tucked away but what a lovely surprise. The decor is clean and fresh. The chairs are comfortable. The waitress spoke English and was very helpful translating the menu for us and checking with the chef about gluten.
I had bass and my partner had beef, both were cooked to perfection and the best we had ever had, all at a reasonable price. We had a lovely evening.
We will definitely be back next time we are in La Rochelle.
Super nice bowl of the moment, perfect for those who want to eat vegan and gluten-free.
Very pleasant welcome, we would like to thank the staff for taking the initiative to make us comfortable for our professional needs.
I came to eat in this restaurant for a surprise birthday, the meal was very good and a little extra, they were able to accommodate my gluten-free request due to celiac disease. We had a room just for our group, which was very pleasant.
The service is impeccable, cleanliness is present everywhere, even in the bathrooms.
Thank you for this good meal.
Tasty food and very pleasant staff. Being allergic to gluten the waitress very kindly confirmed to me that there was none in my choice we will come back
April 2022: During a walk in La Rochelle we stopped at Amorino for a waffle (just to change ice cream)
I had the waffle sticks and a latte.
I recently had braces and as a result they are very easy to eat and very soft.
Installed on the terrace, we were comfortable there.
September 2021: My favorite ice cream parlor.
Nestled on the Cours des dames facing the port, this ice cream parlor is my must-visit in La Rochelle
I love the choice of Vegan flavors and the possibility of choosing a gluten-free Cornet.
The presentation is really top notch!
Back in La Rochelle I couldn't resist having a cone at Amorino.
Their sorbets are simply delicious.
NewLifeKarma.
Excellent hospitality and food/drink with very reasonable prices. Antoine was extremely friendly and looked after us on several occasions. As a coeliac, it is often difficult to eat out, but the meal here was outstanding quality and free from gluten. I had tuna steak with salad and potatoes followed by creme caramel. My wife had a sea-food platter and chocolate mousse for desert. Apologies for the half eaten dishes. They were so tasty, and we started eating before taking a picture 😂, not realising how good they tasted when we started.
Highly recommend this restaurant.
Very good experience in La Rochelle. We were looking for a restaurant to eat with gluten-free options since my daughter has celiac disease... at Le Benèze they treated us very well, with great kindness and empathy and my daughter was able to eat properly.
5* dinner at Dijo!
We had dinner on the terrace with friends at Dijo on Friday May 10. What an incredible discovery!!
The restaurant is located very close to the old port, in a very pleasant pedestrian street. The decoration is very neat and gives a lot of charm to this Rochelais restaurant.
We were warmly welcomed, and the service was efficient and very pleasant!
The products are refined, the dishes tasty and the presentation very well done. The restaurant has an interesting wine list and Capucine provides very good advice. Not to mention the digestive menu…!!
Also a perfect place for people who eat gluten-free: starter, main course, dessert naturally gluten-free or adapted by the chef, served with gluten-free buckwheat bread like you rarely see in restaurants (just remember to warn them at the time of booking)
To finish the dinner, the chef came to discuss with us the origin of his products and his way of imagining recipes and cooking them.
A huge thank you and a big congratulations to Melvin and Capucine! We are already looking forward to our next visit to La Rochelle to come and taste the new menu from Dijo!
Very good, refined and plentiful, possibility of requesting gluten-free.
The service is impeccable, very attentive staff.
Finally, they agreed without any problem to heat the dish for my intolerant daughter.
Not knowing they could cook it.
Really a very good address.
To recommend
Great experience both for the quality of the products and for the service. Special mention for the minced steak and fries that my daughter, who is celiac, was able to eat without fear of gluten contamination. We recommend!
The Saoufé counter is quite simply a gem in La Rochelle. The welcome from Jérémie, the owner, his wife, his colleague (a very talented shucker) and his brother is simply perfect. The sense of service is not an empty word.
The products are local, fresh and available.
The menu is compact (a sign of quality and freshness, respect for the seasonality of the products and the customer's desires) but it allows you to find what you're looking for, between land and sea, whatever your taste.
Everyone can find their own little place: front terrace, tables in the dining room, small high chair at the counter and back terrace (more intimate because on a small street).
The service is respectful of the customer's temporality, warm and expert.
Celiacs are welcome. Allergens are clearly notified and double checked.
The address is excellent!
We arrived late due to an accident on the road, and yet the service was impeccable despite our late arrival, the lunch was well presented. The kitchen perfectly respected food allergies: gluten and lactose.
And above all we ate well in quantity and quality. I highly recommend
