Gorgeous food and great gluten free menu. Restaurant was incredibly hot and loud which did ruin the atmosphere a bit!
Staff were so helpful and friendly, so overall it was a nice experience
Perfect for a meal with family. Well located, reasonable prices, and staff are very welcoming and highly attentive when it comes to catering for food allergies - they have a gluten free menu and an allergen matrix.
While in Candem we found this curious place. They control the whole gluten issue. We ordered a crepe with jam and banana that was super delicious. They make them with buckwheat. It is a cozy place.
We visited York for a day trip as a family and, just like in other cities we’ve been to, we decided to go with Côte — and once again, it did not disappoint.
If you ask me, the starters might be the weakest part of the meal — and I say that only because the mains and especially the desserts are so good that they outshine the rest. Still, everything we had was enjoyable.
We had noted during our reservation that one of us has coeliac disease, and without even having to mention it when we sat down, they brought over a gluten-free menu. Huge thanks to the team for being so considerate and attentive.
For starters, we went with the Camembert Brûlée and Calamari. As mains, we had the Confit Duck à l’Orange and Poulet Breton (corn-fed roasted half chicken) — both of which you can see in the photos. The gratin dauphinois served with the duck takes the whole dish to another level, and the duck itself was cooked to absolute perfection.
On the side, I opted for the Green Salad, which might sound simple, but it’s incredibly tasty — the mustard vinaigrette deserves its own shoutout. Highly recommend trying it.
For dessert, we chose the Lemongrass & Lime Leaf Crème Brûlée, Crème Caramel Classique, and Chocolate Mousse. Everything except the Crème Brûlée was an instant hit with us. While it was beautifully made in theory, the flavor combination just wasn’t to our taste.
Côte once again nailed it. Fingers crossed the Manchester branch reopens soon so we don’t have to travel cities just to enjoy these amazing dishes!
Rib eye steak was fantastic, and the creme brulee was a delicious dessert to round off an excellent meal. Service was exceptional from the moment we walked in the door. Excellent gluten free options, including beer. Highly recommended!
Being Gluten Free always enjoyed visiting Cote restaurants but shocked when handed a I pad to check menu options this is
something that used to happen in early days of GF, gone backwards cannot understand why.
Very disappointing.
Superb! I chose to go here because they offered an extensive gluten free menu. I had the corn truffle soup, the beef Bourguignon, a Kir rose cocktail and the cafe crème. Some of the best gluten free food I have ever had. Made me do the happy food dance.
Fabulous place to eat in Brighton, after walking across the road from the Brighton museum, we both had the Moules Fritte and a crème brûlée dessert all available in Gluten Free for my wife. Excellent service and whilst left alone, well serviced too.
We sat beside the water, and looked over at the boats whilst we ate. We had vegetarian food, steaks and gluten free food and all of it was full of flavour and fresh.
We would definitely come back, the staff were friendly and attentive.
Came for my mums birthday. The staff were fantastic. Food was great as always. My husband is gluten free and they have one of the best gluten free menus. But the staff made the evening. Thank you for making it special

We came yesterday to have a dinner in during visiting Liverpool.
Our waiter Cris was very attentive and friendly also had a good knowledge about menu ( vegan and gluten free).
My son was super happy with children portions.
And the cherry on top was delicious latte ( made by Marina ) I am very picky with coffee and very often weak coffee can destroy all nice experience in restaurant but not this time.
That was brilliant!
Chose Cote as it was convenient for my day, had never been before, or seen it (as new to Horsham), so no real expectation but was surprised and pleased with the experience - excellent food and service, good value, will definitely visit again and recommend it. Was particularly impressed with the separate, nicely presented gluten free menu, and that it was brought as soon as I sat down - they obviously read my booking note and acted on it - the first time it has happened anywhere!
A busy restaurant, do book in advance. Nice decor with a stylish vibe. Efficient staff they really know what they’re doing, on the ball with customer service. It’s really helpful that they have a gluten free menu and to know that Cote are fully accredited by Coeliac UK. Takes the stress out of ordering! Staff are superb. Nothing was too much trouble. We were well looked after. Food is delicious and great value for money.
Fabulous restaurant that also has a gluten free menu. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Food absolutely delicious. We were a table of 10 for a birthday celebration and the staff were just amazing. All food served together. Special thanks to Adam for being such a wonderful host.
Delicious food, with attentive and respectful service.
An absolute pleasure to eat here. And they are excellent for gluten free which is extremely appreciated.
It didn't feel like just any lunch, treated like a special guest, incredible food for amazing value (even Gluten Free, which is no small feat!) - dedicated menu, and special care to ensure a stress free meal
Excellent French food in a great location opposite the Cathedral. Very good gluten-free menu. Service is friendly and helpful, but there can be a wait for orders to be taken at times. Depending on where you're sitting, the restaurant can get noisy.
Just been for lunch at cote leamington and left feeling really disappointed. As someone who is gluten free cote have a gf menu, which looks good, but if you're also vegetarian there is basically one thing you can eat, which is a tagine. This might have been the worst food I've been served anywhere. It was flavourless water with chickpeas in. I have had tagine many times and I dont think this can be called that. The gf bread was like cardboard. Admittedly when I raised this they took it off the bill. My daughter liked her lunch menu steak and said that was nice. Its pretty in there but the atmosphere was lacking. Also, I noticed after I left that they add a 10% service charge to the bill, meaning I paid an extra £5, which I'd prefer not to have paid seeing as I left our lunch treat having only had a glass of water! Wouldn't recommend for anyone with any dietary needs.
Had a fabulous time here with our godson today, tried some new dishes inc the cassoulet, all were really good. Especially, though, the service was wonderful from Lilly and our greeter - it made for a super lunch. One of us is a coeliac and she was very well looked after, lots of options, good knowledge and care.
Had a lovely experience at Cote Dorchester. Excellent staff, lovely menu and food.
Thank you for the Excellent range of gluten free food on a separate menu which made our visit much more relaxed.
A new favourite, we shall definitely visit again.
We are a French family with 3 children (11, 6 and 1 years old) we were very well received in this restaurant.
The + that we liked:
- Eve the waitress was adorable and also spoke to us a little in French
- gluten-free meals offered including a delicious chocolate cake (Antoinette cake), light, not too sweet, a real delight
- possibility of really heating our baby's potty (because for a few days it has only been in a bowl of hot water and it takes a long time and ultimately not very hot)
We highly recommend
Superb chain restaurant for our party - one of whom needed gluten-free and another FODMAP-friendly foods. Lovely smiley waiting staff, helpful and attentive service, and delicious French-style dinner. Very happy! It was my parents' first time ever at a Côte (?!) and they had such a good experience, they're keen to repeat the experience at another branch soon.
Nice ambience. Bustling (Saturday lunchtime) but not unpleasantly so. Food from the fixed menu was OK - the cheeses were excellent. Service OK, but very slow - the delay was at the kitchen end most likely, as serving staff did not seem unduly rushed. Reasonable number of gluten free dishes. Big downer for the disabled - no parking anywhere near, especially blue badge parking.
Absolutely love the atmosphere of Bistro Pierre, it's calm and welcoming. The food was excellent and the staff are allergen vigilant and able to adapt most dishes to be gluten free.
Been here for breakfast a few times, really consistently great food, and good service. Always comfy and clean.
They also have a gluten free menu which is great, lots of options.
I’ve rarely had to book.
