Brian the server and young architect: My wife and I have worked in fine dining, Ruth's Chris and Brennan's, New Orleans; most servers find a way to irk me and disappoint. Brian's service was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and friendly without getting in the way of our date.
Food: You can scarcely complain about any of the creole and New Orleans fusion served at Eliza; we have been loyal in particular for the gluten free fried seafood. For such a high quality place, however, I was disappointed to learn they are still using the industrial biproduct, "vegetable" oil, in their fryer instead of beef tallow or at least refined peanut oil (which does *not* cause allergic reactions).
I selfishly hope Eliza's can commit to clean oils in their kitchen, so they can once again be our go-to for fried seafood and perfect destination to show out of town friends a refined but casual experience of excellent south Louisiana fare.
This cozy spot is a haven for those seeking gluten-free New Orleans dishes, featuring a variety of options like jambalaya, fried crawfish, and alligator bites with a light and airy cornmeal batter. The intimate vibe created by a beautiful private courtyard and a long bar enhances the relaxed, chill atmosphere, making it an ideal place for a safe and delicious gluten-free dining experience in the French Quarter.

We went here specifically for gluten free food. The owner was there and super friendly. We ordered gluten free fried green tomatoes, shrimp, crayfish, catfish, pickles, and fries. The coating/breading was light and airy.
We were the only ones in the restaurant. It was a little awkward, quiet, and dark.
With a menu clearly marked gluten-free and a wide selection of safe options, this lively spot ensures a worry-free dining experience for those with gluten sensitivities. The kitchen's careful setup to minimize cross-contamination and staff's deep understanding of celiac disease create a reassuring atmosphere. Enjoy char broiled oysters and other standout dishes in a setting that blends classy New Orleans vibes with a laid-back, old-school charm, complete with indoor views and outdoor seating along St. Charles Avenue.

I am gluten free but the others with me were not. The charbroiled and raw oysters are amazing! And they're gluten-free except you have to ask for bread on the side. I probably did not order the right thing, but I had the grillled shrimp which were meh and the fries that were nice. for gluten full people, the beignets were a hit and also the gumbo and bisque
This diner stands out for its exceptional gluten-free options, including delicious gluten-free waffles and pancakes with great texture and flavor. The eclectic, funky vibe and walls adorned with Polaroid pictures create a welcoming, homey atmosphere that complements the delightful gluten-free dishes, making it a must-visit for those seeking tasty and inclusive breakfast choices.

In New Orleans during an historic snow storm today and everywhere within walking distance of our Airbnb was closed, except this little gem of a diner serving delicious breakfasts and sandwiches, with vegetarian and gluten free options should one wish. Really good food and absolutely delightful staff. Definitely worth a visit anytime, but especially appreciated on this rare wild snowy day. Thank you for being open!
Attentive service ensuring gluten-free safety makes this elegant yet casual spot a standout for those with gluten sensitivities. The fresh raw offerings like scallops and tuna tartare shine, with staff ready to accommodate and modify dishes such as shrimp and grits to be gluten free. The lively atmosphere with a close view of the kitchen adds to the engaging dining experience, while the smoked trout dip remains a memorable highlight even for gluten-free diners seeking authentic flavors.

This is by far my favorite place in NOLA. The Redfish was perfect and the shrimp and grits did not disappoint. They made a wonderful Bloody Maria and our server Carlo made the experience perfect. He was very knowledgeable about what meals they could modify to be gluten free and they had a gluten free menu. I can’t wait to go back!
Lovely atmosphere and multiple gf options- all of them delicious. I recommend talking to manager or bringing a GF dinning card as an extra level of protection. But over all the experience was beautiful
