Stopped in for a quick bite before a day of exploring and we’re glad we did! Delicious and filling comfort food. Several gluten free and/or veggie options. Friendly service and pretty quick considering how busy the place was. Always a great location. All around very pleased!
We were in the neighborhood doing some shopping and one of the shoppes mentioned Côte. It was nearby and we walked in during a busy lunch time. The accommodated us very nicely considering we didn’t have a reservation. I adore French food but never get to go when dining with my daughter who is gluten and dairy free. However, they had so many items to choose from for her. The food was outstanding!!! Cannot wait to go back.
The food here is really good, and you're right on the water (across a street) which creates a wonderful atmosphere especially when the weather is sunny.
They have a gluten free menu with really great options and dedicated gluten free fryer. I got the "locally smoked haddock chowder" which was phenomenal and came with a GF bun/roll. I also got the gluten free fish and chips which were basic but good and a very large portion.
Smashing wee cafe serving big portions at reasonable prices. Friendly staff, and everything can be made coeliac-friendly (so yes, I added a black pudding to my burger!). Big car park, outside tables (no dogs inside) as well as inside, and we got an inside table with a view of Arthurs Seat 20 miles away!)
Absolutely brilliant restaurant. The food is outstanding. They have a fantastic gluten free menu. So my daughter can actually eat somewhere. Probably one of the best restaurants I've ever been to
It's my favourite place. Honestly, there isn't a person in my house who would opt to eat a burger out of my house ( cause mines are banging ). However, this place comes a good second to mine. We always leave full and satisfied. Think I've just about tried every burger and toastie 😆The staff are super friendly. The price in our option is worth it. For the gluten-free people, they have a whole menu for us unfortunates also on occasion where possible they have adapted specials to suit my dietary needs..so kind 😁

Parking was a bit tricky, but we just used the Aldi car park across the road.
That being said, inside is beautiful, very nicely decorated and the food and service was 10/10.
They have a full gluten-free menu, which was amazing for me. I had the calamari to start. It was beautiful. And for main the mussels. The portion was massive, and you got chips. I would highly recommend this place, well worth a visit!
Services was excellent, food was delicious and had the made at home taste and feel.
We ordered the fish and chips and steak pie and they were both fantastic. They could even cater for gluten having a separate fryer which made us feel really comfortable. They also have a gluten free larger which they serve me in a chilled glass!, this elevated the experience and it’s something that even 5 start hotels don’t do.
Thank you! We would definitely come back.
Be warned if you go there as someone with allergies. My mother went here and got a severe allergic reactions (she's celiac). Informed the staff as such, the waitress took our order correctly as we saw what she'd written down, and then proceeded to receive a fully glutened meal, and told only AFTER my mother took a bite. When she ran off to the restroom, we were then served a VEGAN meal, which is not the same as gluten. Shame on you, chefs. And the manager for not even giving us a second glance, where in a potential situation an ambulance could've been called.
Shame on you.
Couldn't find direct contact details online, still feeling so rough. I had a meal this afternoon at the fort kinnaird branch. Specifically asked for a gluten free burger. Also had vegan mayo as Diary and Glunten intolerant. I thoroughly enjoyed my food at the time believing I had be given the dietary requirements I asked for .. with 20mins of leaving the restaurant. I have ended up with the most horrendous stomach cramps and bowels usually related to if I have eaten Glunten. I believe that this has been the case on this occasion. Allergens are there for a reason. Safe to say I will not be coming back to eat again. I would also like contact details to arrange a refund. I am just hoping my new medication helps ease my stomach and I won't need medical assistance.
Food was great but low scoring for cross contamination of gluten free meal . My wife is celiac and something in her meal contained gluten. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service was impeccable.
I was very disappointed that the company did not respond to my review,

Don’t recommend anymore as they’ve stopped doing gluten free chips as it’s too much hassle. Also read that a celiac got very sick from here and that’s probably why. Really disappointed as it was the only gluten free chippy I could go to
I've tried DD's in 3 places now and it's been good every time. The menu changes frequently as does the location though the vibe of the cafe in Marchmont is great for brunch.
The fried chicken is nice and crispy and a real treat if avoiding gluten (and also if not!). I highly recommend the Korean waffle if it's available (pictured at the Bellfield gf brewery popup). Very interesting flavours and not something you see everyday even with gluten.
They even sometimes have guest pop-ups themselves in Marchmont which is a brilliant idea.

Really disappointing experience. Made a booking for a large group for dinner and drinks. Limited space available despite communicating the group size. Very poor service. Lots of miscommunication from the servers, some saying we can order food from the restaurant and bar and some only saying bar. GF guest told they were out of all snacks and that they don’t do gluten free options only to be then told if you come back in 5-10 we may be able to help you.
Long waits for drinks and probably the worst expresso martini. Do not recommend.
As a coeliac, it can be really scary ordering food as you are never sure if you will be really ill for days afterwards. I've just had the best experience with the lovely manager of the Silverburn branch. Its so good to speak to someone who understands how important it is to get it right. I wish every experience was like this one. Well done and thank you again x

I've had several gluten free takeaways from the Sands in the last few months- all absolutely delicious but I think my favourite is the mouth watering scampi and chips I had last night 😋 Other gluten free options I recommend are battered fish, sausage and smoked haddock and mozzarella. Always freshly cooked and piping hot. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Handy picnic tables outside and no bothersome seagulls.

I entered the restaurant feeling hungry, without any information or recommendations. However, the atmosphere was warm, cozy, clean and well-kept restaurant. Also, my husband ordered gluten free curry and my daughter ordered pasta from the Kid's menu. Both were great. Especially, compared to the kids' menu pasta at similar-level restaurants, it appeared to be the most carefully crafted dish with children in mind. Also the pasta was served with some vegetable. I hope the quality and taste of the kids' menu pasta remain unchanged. In terms of my food, I ordered fish and chips. It was fine but it was too crispy and I felt a little bit greasy. In addition, there is a small area for kids. Even though It wasn't a place like a soft play area, but our child still enjoyed the there, perhaps because she is still young. Other than that, it was great experience. Would return again.
McGinty's takeaway offers a fantastic menu that includes traditional chippy items, pizza, as well as separate gluten-free and vegetarian menus. The establishment takes great care to have dedicated cooking areas and utensils for gluten-free and vegetarian options. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive to these dietary requirements. I highly recommend trying the gluten-free menu.

Really good food and friendly staff! Accommodated our gluten free request too which was amazing! We didn’t do the boozy brunch but definitely will when we return!
I ordered the vegan breakfast and the kitchen kindly made it gluten-free for me. I also enjoyed the caffeinated oat latte. The staff informed me that they have a variety of gluten-free options, such as fish and chips and pasta. The staff was very friendly and the pricing was reasonable.
