Friedman’s was a great dinner restaurant to check out, it is close to Times Square with high-quality food options, at a much more reasonable price! In addition they cater to people with dietary restrictions such as gluten free!

Highly recommend!! My teenage daughter has Celiac disease and was the happiest girl in all the land to find this place while on vacation from Arizona. We drove from Niagara Falls just to eat here and it was TOTALLY worth it! She was happy to be able to try things she’s never been able to eat (mozzarella sticks, fried pickles, onion rings, etc.) The food is delicious!! She says she wants to “own a restaurant just like this” when she’s older.

We were a party of four; One foodie, one vegetarian, one gluten free and one carnivore. We were all able to find an option for our varied tastes and dietary needs. All selections were delicious and the milk shakes, which are available with milk, oat milk, soy milk, etc., were fantastic!

My family and I have been dining here for a few years now and have always had a spectacular time. The service and food are above expectations, The gentlemen who normally tend to us (Max & Joshua) feel like family, they are always on top of their game and always pleasant and accommodating. My spouse has celiac and requires Gluten-free dining. Finding a healthy, Gluten-free restaurant is a challenge, although some restaurants offer Gluten-free options on their menus many can not guarantee it, and therefore a challenge. As for myself, I don't have to have Gluten-free options but because Popojitos' food options are both healthy and tasty I enjoy them. There's always something on their menu to accommodate everyone. As usual kudos to the owner for recognizing and always presenting a great menu and to the entire staff for their attentiveness to great customer service and displaying great food!! Fred & Annette

There's really no reason to go here unless three conditions exist; 1. You keep kosher. 2. You're Gluten Free and Kosher. 3. You have money to light on fire. The menu is amazingly unimaginative and, honestly, lazy. The quality of the food is...fine. But this is NYC. So, really, by that standard, not really fine. And the prices, for what you get, are off the chart. Yes, there's a kosher upcharge, but $29 for a burger, no fries included, is absurd. The place is doing business as it was packed with well-heeled UWSiders and younger ones with their parents' credit card. So, perhaps they're thinking why change it if people are laying out for this. Sorry, you seem like nice people. But it's just gotta be better.

This place was truly five stars from start to finish. They were having some issues with their online ordering portal. I called and spoke to a gentleman who is very nice. Took my order and even met me outside in my car. The food was spectacular. Everything was super fresh. It’s great that it’s gluten-free most things. Our stomachs did not feel any pain. The food was absolutely delicious and it seems like it’s great management and owners. Great find especially if you’re gluten-free Will definitely be back

I don’t say this lightly: Friedmans’ fish and chips might be the best I’ve ever had. Golden, crisp, and gluten-free without sacrificing a single ounce of flavor. The batter was perfectly light and crunchy, the fish flaky and fresh—like it dove out of the ocean and straight into the fryer with purpose. The fries? Thick-cut, hot, and seasoned just right. It’s rare to find a gluten-free dish that doesn’t feel gluten-free, but this one absolutely nailed it. I wouldn’t change a thing. 10/10, no notes.

Wait time ensured that we 100% will not be back. We were one of three tables on a Friday night and our food took well over an hour, not to mention that we waited the final 10 minutes for the last person to get their meal which was nothing more than a salad. Our waitress was very inattentive. To the point where it was much faster to just get up and get drinks from the bar for the table. However, it was nice to have a full gluten free menu. Food wasn’t bad.

I absolutely love it here! The food and desserts are so delicious. The staff is wonderful. I have Hashimotos and needed to be gluten/dairy free. I’ve brought my friends who don’t have a gluten intolerance and they also love it! They couldn’t believe that it was gluten free with how delicious the food is. Highly recommend!

They have gluten free buns for hot dogs and burgers. Their fries are gluten free cooked in a dedicated fryer. The staff understands gluten free options and they are so friendly. It was a great expierence i will definitely go back best hot dog ive ever eaten and i got the fries which are hand cut delicious.

I am a celiac and on our trip on Friday evening (5/30/25) I was glutened. I was ill for the whole weekend, the server seemed confused, not just my order was brought out incorrectly. I just found out hours later when I got violently ill. I used to feel comfortable eating here as one of my only gluten-free options in the Albany area but now I can't consider it, not after this.

My friend and I were on our way to Villa Roma for a few days and since we are both gluten free, we stopped here as it had a gluten free menu. We said, let's have lunch and if it's good we will take food to Villa Roma and eat the next couple days. We walked in, greeted by "Watson" who was especially nice and accommodating. Mikey was our waiter, also extremely nice and attentive. When he was busy, Watson attended to us. We ordered our sandwich and sweet potato fries but the sandwich that came out was not the one we ordered. They gave us a new sandwich, more fries and packed up the wrong sandwich to go. We also pit in a to go order. Lori, the chef was amazing. All of their gluten free food was delicious. Wishing they would open on Long Island! Thank you 110 Grill for a great gluten free experience!

It's a very good diner with a menu that's got plenty of variety, including all day breakfast, but doesn't go crazy like some places that have 12 pages. It's amazing for celiacs and others eating gluten-free. Fries are safe, and the majority of the menu can be ordered gluten free. They are careful about cross contamination. Great service too - the waiters were very accommodating and attentive.

Service was a little slow temporarily due to some staffing transitions but they are back and better than ever. Family dinners, date nights, drinks - it’s a great place! We loved this place. I am celiac, but not super sensitive of small amounts of contamination. There were so many options, but I had to try the fried chicken, since it’s rare to find GF. It was perfect. Also had a great cocktail and shared calamari with my husband. Everything was perfect, including the friendly service. We both had a hard time deciding what to order, as there were so many GF choices, all of which were prepared creatively and with quality ingredients. Highly recommend.

We were really pleasantly surprised at just how nice our experience at The Cellar was. As someone with a gluten sensitivity I was thrilled to see that their chicken and waffles is gluten free. The prices are commensurate with the quality here, and I was glad to see that our entrees were full plates, not a piece of protein garnished with a few specks of vegetable and starch. This place was amazing! They have gluten free chicken tenders and fries! If you are gluten free you will love these tenders and fries, they were amazing! I loved their honey mustard dipping sauce and their signature sauce was great as well. The staff was super helpful and even helped me find their restaurant over the phone because the geolocation was off when I was using walking directions.

The crowd on Halloween was festive and fun but busy, sitting out on the enclosed patio with blankets was nice but wish we could have been inside. The service was quick and felt rushed, again Halloween night it's to be expected. The best thing about coming was the menu had so many gluten-free options it took what felt like forever. The food was great, comfort food with plenty of diverse options. The gluten free mac and cheese was the most memorable item that was consumed by me that night, 2 months ago, I still think fondly of dish. Hence the review! If I lived close to this restaurant there would be a chair with my name on it ordering that mac and cheese and many of the made from scratch items on the menu. So grateful to have a home-made, made to order gluten-free mac and cheese.
