The restaurant is located in a cozy square, there is also a gluten-free pizza and pasta option, friendly service, delicious food. A negative is that the appetizer and dessert brought out without a request were charged for +6 Euro, they were delicious, but it would be better to ask for that.

We were here 3 times and that probably says something about the fact that we were relatively satisfied considering all the restaurants in the area. The place was recommended as we have a daughter with celiac disease and they delivered here with both gluten-free pizza and pasta. The staff are very pleasant and do everything to make you feel comfortable. Be prepared for it to take some time to get the food

The food is exceptionally good! Everything is freshly prepared with high-quality ingredients and lots of love. From grilled fish to tender lamb to vegetarian specialties – every dish was a delight. What's particularly impressive is that they cater very carefully to any food intolerances. Even if you have celiac disease, you can eat here without worry – the staff is very knowledgeable and caters to individual requests. A huge plus! The service is fast, attentive, and yet incredibly warm. You can tell that the entire team is passionate about what they do. There's a wonderful, family-like atmosphere – you feel more like you're with friends than in a restaurant. In short: If you're looking for authentic Cretan cuisine, genuine hospitality, and an all-around harmonious experience, this is the place for you. Highly recommended – we'll definitely be back!

The gluten free options are the best by far in this area. I felt as a having an allergy I was limited to grilled meats from certain places or they weren’t really helpful at all. Until I come across la strada. They have focaccia bread, pastas and pizzas gluten free. The staff where so helpful and I felt took my allergy serious I would highly recommend to anyone in the area that struggles to be catered for they have so many options.

Stunning place with attention to detail, very friendly staff and really delicious food. Great choice and attention to gluten-free, with the availability of first courses such as pasta or traditional Moussaka. Among their appetizers, fried calamari (gluten-free!) with mayonnaise and herb sauce are superb. Highly recommended

Very friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere. Also suitable for gluten-free eaters; they offer GF pizza and pasta, and other gluten-free options are clearly marked on the menu. I had a GF pizza, and the crust was nice and crispy. Very pleasant and cool under the trees. To finish, we had a free raki and ice cream. Definitely recommended 👍🏼

Food here was amazing,ingredients and staff super friendly, Hannah was amazing and even recommended local places to visit. I have allergies and I ate here without issue. Celiac disease, dairy allergy, nut and peanut allergy and onion severe intolerance verging on allergy. They made a tomato sauce for me fresh and off menu so I could eat here. The chips/ fries are cooked in a seperate fryer making them safe also. This place is a reasonabley priced establishment and it's worth it. Two pasta dishes Two chips/ fries 1 dolmades 1 bread and salsa with oil Total 63.70€ 2 vodka 2 bottle coca cola 1 diet coke/ cola light

We’ve eaten here many times during our trip to Crete, and it’s always been a great experience. The food is delicious and fairly priced. The staff are friendly and make you feel welcome. The owner is especially kind and creates a relaxed, genuine atmosphere. Highly recommend if you’re looking for good and local food. The man in the shop explained everything and was extremely friendly! The gluten-free selection is huge, with Greek specialties and plenty of frozen items. Unfortunately, we were only here for one day by boat, so we couldn't buy more, but VALSAMO is definitely the place for people with celiac disease in Chania!

The best dinner in Malia! All homemade, a huge difference from the other touristy and crowded places in the centre. Also recommended for families (balloons and ice cream offered for children, as well as many dishes that are also suitable for children) and for those who must eat gluten-free. Marvelous! It's a small, simple place, but it offers an unforgettable experience with Greek cuisine!!

One of the few places in the port of Chania that offers gluten-free dishes and beer. A very nice gentleman who drives the customers, who does not forget about them once he convinces them to choose this place. Food for 4, because gluten-free can be better, but it is not bad. If we ever come back to Chania, we will definitely find it here.

This has to be the best dining experience in Koutouloufari! So much so we went four times in our two weeks. The ambience is just perfect with the food exquisite, both in taste and presentation, coupled with the most prompt professional service makes for fabulous memory box moments. A big bonus for some diners is they cater for Gluten Free diners with very extensive options. All the staff are just wonderful but I have to make a special mention about Dana who I would have working for me any day! As It is a very popular restaurant booking is the best option to guarantee a table during the busy months. Thank you to everyone for helping make such wonderful memories.

Super good experience! We had a glass of wine while we waited (only 5 min, even though they said 10-15). Delicious appetizers with dips and gluten-free bread – really tasty. The waiter even offered extra bread for free. The main course was big and good, and we took leftovers home. We got dessert wine and ice cream for the bill, and they had allergies under control. The staff was friendly, attentive, and seemed happy even though it was busy. They don't try to pull people in from the street, which creates a pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended!
