I shop at this TJ's so often, several of the staff greet me with, "Hi, how are the kids?!" The staff are friendly, no doubt. The food is delicious and fairly priced. I'm gluten-free and dairy-free so I find great options here. The Non Dairy Oat Fudge Bars are so good! I also appreciate the ready-made frozen meals like the Pho Soup and the frozen Indian food options. The store itself is always well stocked and organized. It's so nice to buy food that's not full of chemicals, fake colors and fake flavors. Shopping here is really a pleasure.

If you have special dietary needs like gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, Sprouts has great options for you. Their produce is always fresh and well stocked. Prices are a little higher than stores like Ralphs but that's to be expected for higher quality. I think of Sprouts as supplemental to my main grocery store.

F yeah. Dried baby bananas..but only when they're soft. The hard ones suck. And the just mango slices. (Dried, unsulfured and unsweetened mango). And like a million other things they have are so good. Especially for a person who has crohns disease and wheat/ gluten intolerance or appreciates whole and healthy food

I'm really thankful for the clear color-coded labeling on the tags - I recently discovered I had Celiac, so it's been difficult adjusting and trying to find suitable replacements for what I used to eat regularly. Finding gluten-free options here was a lot easier. I wish it wasn't so expensive, though... $200 at any other grocery store will get you a lot further than $200 here. Other than that, the store was clean, cool, and well-organized. Worth it if you can afford it.

Gilbert a manager assisted me today. I’ve been a customer since the early 2000’s. Just wanted to share my experience and interaction. We bought gluten free muffins by mistake. Wanted regular muffins. So I went back to the store to exchange for regular muffins. The exchange went smoothly. However, I was taken back, in a good way by the next sequence…..Gilbert said, “Here take a muffin and try it ….these muffins regardless of being gluten free are very delicious.” Goes to speak about the people and the culture of this store and environment. Loved this place! The people were so friendly and there’s tons of places to sit - ground floor, small upstairs balcony, outdoor patio with a cool mural. I’m gluten free and noticed they had some gf options like a gluten free bagel. I didn’t try it but it was nice to see that option. They even sell gf flour in their little market section. Also noticed a good number of vegan options on the menu and in the grocery section - EG So Delicious icecream and impossible meats. The horchata latte is yummy - iced or hot. Also they have a little lending library with adult and kids books! Enjoyed the breakfast burrito and an açaí bowl.

Tyler leads the Bakery section and is an absolute joy. He's very knowledgeable, kind, and patient. He's a reason I keep coming back here- he gives the best service, and his team makes the best cakes, pies, and tarts (just look at those pix!). All our friends are always so impressed by the desserts we bring. We even get to bring goodies for our vegan and gluten-free friends, and they really appreciate that.

I'm not sure how I didn't know this Vons was so close to me but it's great. It's a little smaller but they have tuna of my favorite gluten free breads, their deli section has a wonderful selection of pre-made food, and somehow everything I got was extra good. Even the grapes were somehow tastier than I've been finding lately.

So this Whole Foods in Westwood... it's kinda small. I mean, I'm not complaining about the size exactly (do unto others...), but when you walk in, you're thinking, "Oh, this is it?" It's like when someone tells you they have a pool and you get there and it's an inflatable one. Still water, still technically a pool, but not what you pictured. The thing about this Whole Foods is it's right by UCLA. Lots of college kids walking around. Makes you feel old, you know? I'm in there trying to figure out which $9 juice I want, and these kids are talking calculus while buying kombucha. It's different. They DO however have free electric car charging, which is pretty nice. There are four and there's usually one free because I guess not a lot of college kids are pushing Teslas.... yet. You know what's weird about shopping at a small Whole Foods? You can see everyone. In a regular store, you can get los in the cereal aisle for twenty minutes deciding between organic oat flakes and gluten free wheat flakes. Here, I accidentally made eye contact with the same liberal arts major like eight times. He for sure thought I was from West Hollywood. So yeah, three and a half stars. Would've given four, but the homeless were taking up all the patio seating that no one reallly wants to sit in anyway. Also their juice bar takes forever. But hey, free car charging.
