My wife is gluten and msg sensitive. We also at Founding Farmer’s and Lupo Marino restaurants. Those were nice, but the food and prices at Chopsmith were considerably better.
My favorite was the omelette I got for
lunch PLIS added mushroom and onion AND the unique hard cheese that starts with an “H.”
I ate there three times over three days.
It became my go-to during my stay in DC.

It’s our 5yr anniversary ..vacationing in DC looking for a restaurant to celebrate. We Choose Officina! We’ve eaten at many places. This restaurant is the most professional restaurant in service and food plus making us feel very special! Fi Fi the manager was so great!! Thank you! The calamari and salad were perfect along with the pasta with shrimp. Very clean and love the service and the food!! Vegan and Gluten free options! Prices are great too!! We will be back!
