The hotel is okay, the room was small and impersonal. I would say it really suits a conference facility. What should be reviewed is actually cleaning. Certainly the bed was clean and fresh but the sheets of dust above the bed and on the bedside table are not as fresh. In the bathroom, they need to keep an eye on the drain, because while we were in the shower, the water didn't flow through, which meant that we were standing in a pool of water.
However, the SPA was very fresh and nice. Something small, but trying the different pools still took a good while and was very fun to try different pools with scents and different lights/sounds. The only downside was that you could buy drinks in the bar that was adjacent to the spa. Drinks are prohibited in the pools, but other visitors probably do not have the same opinion. My recommendation is to remove access to the bar, alternatively that you can finish your drink in the bar and then come back to the spa.
Breakfast was very good. Lots of different options for bread, spreads, yogurt, hot food. A big plus is that the hotel bakes its own gluten-free bread and had homemade muesli.
Since we did not have dinner at the hotel, our stay was not too expensive in package price, we paid SEK 1600 for one night and two people, so based on the price, the visit was very well worth it.
Another plus is the charging option for electric cars. There was plenty of space and we were able to borrow a cord as we left home without ours. Cost SEK 4/kwh.

Excellent, central location in the heart of the city. Helpful, friendly staff.
🔸️ Room
Room was spacious and fresh. There is no thermostat panel to control the room temperature so it can get quite warm but at least there is a standing floor fan that helped with the ventilation.
Our queen bed and pillows are comfortable. The shower worked well and there was a bathtub. Water pressure was good but the mixer can be sensitive and stubborn - so fix your water temperature and stick to it. Changing midway could result in some burning hot water.
🔸️ Breakfast
The breakfast buffet featured a familiar Scandinavian spread with cold and warm selections. The items that stood out for me were the waffles (DIY with the waffle maker), crispy bacon, fresh cheeses, large gluten free corner, a good dark roast for Swedish coffee and fragrant Earl Grey loose leaves for a good cup of tea.
🔸️ Parking
It was easy to find parking in the large underground paid garage that is directly connected to the hotel. Look for Skrapan by Aimo.
It is true that the breakfast remains to be tasted - but so far the satisfaction is very good. The tiny room is excellent in its simplicity. Missing, for example, such a disturbing element as a TV set. The surrounding environment with hills, sky and vines is wonderful. The restaurant serves a good and nourishing meal at a very reasonable price. The fish soup was, for example, very reasonably priced. The wine is a bit special, the white sparkling better than the rosé bubble and the white Solaris barrique 2016 complemented both the fish soup and the smoked salmon. One wonders how good it will be after another couple of years of rest.
After today's breakfast, I have raised the rating to 5 stars. Among other things, an excellent gluten-free bread was served with all the other breakfast delicacies.

This is a great little hotel right by the station. The rooms are cosy but comfortable, with all the expected amenities. The only major downside was the plug to mirror ratio, as the only mirror was in the bathroom, & the nearest electrical outlet was by the entrance to the room (although the hairdryer provided has an extra long cord to allow for this). The gym is well equipped compared to other city hotels I've visited.
I enjoyed that there was a separate vegan & gluten-free stand at breakfast, making it easy to identify what I could eat.
I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Really good food! Nice accommodation and nice staff. Just the opposite of Scandic with only ten charming rooms!
Solved gluten intolerance with flying colours!
Will definitely come back when we have the roads past!
Highly recommended!
Fairly fresh rooms, cozy environment. Well located centrally. Always nice staff. Good breakfast, also offers good gluten free! Can also recommend booking the spa bath 🙌
A cozy place, quite newly built it looked like. Liked the combination of modern with old details. Very nice staff including called and asked how things went on the hiking trail, if we would have time to check in before the reception closed at 8 p.m., fixed gluten and lactose free for my friend.
We were never there because we hiked the John Bauerleden, but apparently there would be an outdoor gym and sauna down by the lake.
The breakfast was fresh, you could squeeze your own orange juice, not a lot to choose from but very good and the essentials.
The room was small but new and neat with a large, nice bathroom.
I can really recommend this place, had great opportunities to set up their motor home.

Just this weekend I visited a gluten-free food fair at Kistamässan and chose this hotel to be a short walking distance due to a temporary disability.
The room was OK but responsive. The staff were nice, but unfortunately most of them had no idea.
Was going to have dinner in the evening and ordered gluten and milk protein free (due to celiac disease and allergy). My table neighbor also made a gluten-free order due to celiac disease. Unfortunately, there were many serious errors and it ended with both the table neighbor and I talking several times with the kitchen staff directly. Only when we said we were going somewhere else did they take us seriously. I have never been around such a disorganized and ignorant staff.
In addition, I had ordered a breakfast box to, among other things, avoid feeling stressed at the buffet due to contamination, but even that had not arrived.
In any case, the table neighbors were happy with the breakfast and there is a good corner with gluten-free options in general, as well as pancakes if you ask for them.
Most things worked out in the end, but the road there was stressful... I thought I had traveled back in time!
Fantastically good gluten-free food.
Welcoming staff and nice service.
Come back.

Nice room, premium. Well-kept. The toilet seat was broken so it didn't feel so luxurious. The price was high, but that may be due to the Book Fair that was going on at the time. Proximity to the Swedish fair was a plus. Nice view. The hotel breakfast nothing further due to the staff's ignorance of what gluten allergy is and what vegetarian is. Not worth the price.
Awesome island. Buffet was great with lots of gluten free food options

Lovely spot! Weird mix of everything, in a nice way! A bit short of selections for me who does not eat meat or gluten. And the food was good, but when we ate there lacked a bit of flavor.

Good room, good WiFi, good kitchen with gluten-free products if desired. We Danes are not used to DKK 90 for a glass of wine, but it was a super good wine. The Mariestad beer, on the other hand, was really nice for a DKK 65 bill. Corona instructions were complied with, nice style.,
Staying in a hotel that is a stone's throw from the central station is just great. We were also able to check in earlier than the scheduled time. Friendly and helpful staff. One tip is to ask for a room that is not above the nightclub. We got a room on the 10th floor and had a very lovely view of Gothenburg. They play very loud music from the lobby and it can be heard in the floors above. So if you want peace and quiet, take a room on the corresponding side of the building. There was nothing to complain about with the breakfast. Very good selection of most things you could wish for. Even a completely separate table for gluten and lactose intolerant people. We stayed one night but immediately felt that we would come back there again and then also try their spa and rooftop pool!
