I LOVED Rare!! Our server was fantastic and came back a few times just to triple check he got our allergies correct because he kept second guessing himself lol. I appreciated it immensely that he was being so careful.
So many things on the menu are either gluten free by default or can be made gluten free. I’d say almost everything besides like lasagna, gnocchi, and maybe a few other things.
We started with calamari and the Brussels sprouts which were both gluten free and OMG they were divine! Crispy and a little spicy and just delicious. I hadn’t had calamari in about 4 years and that was a real treat. They probably use corn starch because it was very crispy and the chili honey was phenomenal.
Then for my entree I had a gluten free pizza. The crust was 5/5 stars and though it was a thin crust like most gf crusts it was delicious. Pretty sure they made it in-house. They used their own burrata they made that morning, and they make their own sauce which wasn’t super acidic like many canned pizza sauces. Pesto was also made by them.
Everyone at our table (2 of us gluten free) loved our food. The truffle fries from one of our meals were shared and we all loved them because they were so crispy and felt battered but were also gluten free!
I can’t rate them highly enough for the care and attention and quality of the food. We went for happy hour and for 2 appetizers, 4 entrees, and 6 drinks plus a $30 tip we only spent $160ish. That’s incredible for a high end place. Split between 4 people it was well worth it! My only regret is I didn’t take a pic of my pizza because I was so busy devouring it, but here are the calamari and Brussels sprouts.
Oreganos provided us with catering for 100 people for our middle school dance. This was a great experience- from assisting us in our needs (gluten free/dairy free options and a variety for the kids) and accommodating our budget. Made it easy for us and we really appreciate it. Food was a hit!
I ordered a GF crust Meat Eaters with added Feta, and Oh My Word! It was beyond delicious!!! I have never had a GF pizza that was this delicious. I definitely recommend Cozzola's for my Gluten-Free people. AMAZING!
Gluten and Dairy free:Yes. They have a few selections of gelato that are dairy free. The coconut is amazing, though I am still hoping that they will make their pistachio in a vegan version (fingers crossed).
The polenta and caponata is expensive but very tasty and safe for the wheat and dairy challenged.
Service is usually pretty good the staff is friendly, but it does depend on who's working as to whether you get friendly and enthusiastic or lack luster but efficient.
All in all this place is great, we come for gelato 2-3 times a month,
While I couldn't eat it my wife says the lasagna was excellent and she says the mint chocolate gelato is the best dairy version.
Coconut is the most amazing according to both of us though. If you are in city park stop by this little place. It's a delicious choice.
We love how fast the food comes out and is reliably good. We sit at the bar, Sarah remembers that my husband is gluten free and knows our names and orders. There’s a lot of experienced people working here who make sure that they are consistent in giving customers a great experience. They work together well.
Delicious, fresh, homemade flatbread piadina sandwiches! There's a good variety of choices with vegan and gluten free options. True taste of Italy in Colorado.
It’s nice to have a pizzeria that offers gluten free pizza. Every pizza we’ve had has been great! GF or otherwise. Warning: kids from the local school descend here when school is in, over noon hour, so it’s super busy then. Pay over the phone for quicker pickup.
Enjoyed the pizza and great value. I wish I had cooked my gluten-free crust on a metal pizza pan instead of the paper though, because the crust was softer in the middle. Definitely coming back for more!
Admittedly skewed review from a celiac. Gluten (from wheat) makes me very ill. I called ahead to ask if I could bring some food to a gathering of friends, avoiding risk of cross-contamination from wheat dust in the kitchen. The kind soul on the phone told me there was no need for that, and the staff takes cross-contamination very seriously. He mentioned that there were even dedicated staff who didn't handle wheat products. When I got to the restaurant, the waiter had no idea what I was talking about. So I had a salad, it was ok, and I didn't get sick the next day. The rest of our party seemed happy with their meals.
