I recently visited Hula Poke Bowl in Metrotown and had a fantastic experience. The restaurant was clean and had a bright, welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The menu offered a great variety of options, catering to all dietary preferences with vegan and gluten-free choices. I ordered the classic poke bowl of the Koko with salmon, Kimch, and it was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The ingredients were vibrant and well-balanced, and the portion size was generous for the price.Service was top-notch; the staff was friendly and quick to help me customize my bowl exactly how I wanted it. I also appreciated the speedy service, as my meal was prepared in just a few minutes. For those visiting for the first time, I highly recommend trying the spicy Gochujang sauce—it added a perfect kick to the bowl. Overall, Hula Poke Bowl is a great spot for a healthy and delicious meal in Metrotown. I'll definitely be coming back!
Many gluten free options! The owners and staff are absolutely fantastic. My boyfriend and I make an effort to come here at least once a week. You will not be disappointed! My favourite ❤️
Food was excellent, I came in with someone with celiac diseases and Linh and Asia did a great job explaining what was gluten free and were very careful and thoughtful.
The atmosphere is nice for a walk in quick bite. The pizza is fresh and tasty. They have Gluten free options. And a dedicated place in the stone oven to cook it. The lady at the front was super friendly and knowledgeable.
We enjoyed our dinner and sake very much. The food is good, the building is a lovely old converted mansion with beautiful stained glass details and the service is fairly attentive. I was happily surprised at the size of my BC roll. It's HUGE, fresh, and yummy. Yaki Soba and Yaki Udon dishes were flavourful. Chicken teriyaki on rice was cooked well, and gyoza and tempura prawns were fresh and hot. There are some menu items for someone needing gluten-free dishes which was great.
The building isn't accessible to those with mobility issues. There are no ramps, lots of steep steps to walk up, and no elevator that we could find. The main meals didn't come out at the same time so some were almost finished before others had started.
It's a really good place, to have a dinner and stay for hours on the table slowly eating and having a good time with your friends. I do recommend the experience.
Also, they have gluten free options in the buffet.
Food is great … always. I love the saganaki and chicken souvlaki dinner. Without fail, consistent. They will even make the saganaki gluten free on request.
Went here for a dinner during a conference. We were a large crowd and they had the space reserved for us. Food came slow and we weren't quite sure what else or how much more would be coming. It was very yummy and we had tons of food left over to take with us. The servers were not always able to answer our questions about the food, perhaps a language barrier (some of us were vegan or gluten free).
