We enjoyed our dinner and sake very much. The food is good, the building is a lovely old converted mansion with beautiful stained glass details and the service is fairly attentive. I was happily surprised at the size of my BC roll. It's HUGE, fresh, and yummy. Yaki Soba and Yaki Udon dishes were flavourful. Chicken teriyaki on rice was cooked well, and gyoza and tempura prawns were fresh and hot. There are some menu items for someone needing gluten-free dishes which was great. The building isn't accessible to those with mobility issues. There are no ramps, lots of steep steps to walk up, and no elevator that we could find. The main meals didn't come out at the same time so some were almost finished before others had started.

The place looks beautiful and romantic, so it's great to go there on a date. The food is nothing exceptional, though. Update: About a year ago I gave them 3 starts out of 5, because they didn't serve gluten free soy sauce. Now they do and that has just earned them all 5 out of 5 stars. Well done for listening to reviews and making your customers happy!
