Rates the atmosphere based on service and food quality, this place is great and has gluten free options for the wife who is coeliac, the servers are always friendly and efficient, prices are reasonable for the quality.
Honestly the most wonderful cafe in the greater dundee region I've been to, with delicious wholesome food and friendliest service. Plenty of gluten free and vegan selections, with all allergies/intolerances listed or accommodated.
The cheesy beans with crunchy gf sourdough chunks was a simple but perfectly balanced warming brunch for exploring the area. All of their baked and sweet treats are made in-house and I couldn't leave without taking a coconut chia slice to go.
If you're visiting the area, forget all the other eateries in the area and head here.
We came in, absolutely starving and struggling to find anywhere gluten free as we are new to the city.
The staff were amazing, lovely and friendly, and really knowledgeable on coeliac disease. Pretty much the whole menu is or can be made gluten free.
The food tasted gorgeous.
Have been in twice now and the food/staff have been great.
Both times the service has been slow, but they apologised both times. Not sure exactly what the reason was, but hopefully something they can improve on.
Other than that, decent food, plenty of options for coeliacs too, which is nice.
I'd advise booking in advance (easily done on their website) as it can get quite busy.
This coffee shop was delightful, with friendly and attentive staff. The highlight for me was their extensive gluten-free menu, which provided plenty of options. I will definitely be returning for another visit as the food was also delicious.
First time there. Food was excellent all 5 of us enjoyed the meal. Good range of food available with options for Gluten free and vegetarian. Waitress upstairs was very hard working providing good service.

Iβm Celiac and finding good gluten free food is always hard but this has become my new favourite pizza place. Itβs delicious, soft and crunchy, and the individuals size is very generous.
The place itself is great as well, the manager helped me order my gluten free pizza on a deal with my non celiac partner, which was so nice of her. The waiting time was not too long either, and although I didnβt sit in the restaurant atmosphere looked good from the waiting area.
Hope they expand the gluten free menu to other items too!

I found this restaurant on the βfind me GF appβ and wow, the best gluten free pizza Iβve ever had. We were served by a lovely blonde lady who was so lovely and really reassuring asking if I was coeliac when ordering. I highly recommend the West House & look forward to returning in the future :)
Hands down the best steak burger I've had in a long time, tasty and succulent.
Beautiful restaurant in a great location within the wonderful city of Dundee.
Friendly staff and service.
I highly recommend Porters for a burger or a steak , we were highly delighted.
My wife is gluten-free and they took care of that without any problems .
Well done to the staff and all involved .
Just had breakfast my youngest son has a dairy and gluten allergy the staff were brilliant at trying to find something for Robin to eat we were all very impressed a d a big thank you to all definitely be back
Really good food even though I have a gluten allergy. I was served by Amy which gave me some of the best customer service I've ever received. Good also came quite fast. Overall an amazing experience
Lovely wee cafe run by the church. The soup, sandwich and cake deal was really great value. Itβs great that they have so many savoury and sweet gluten free options and it seems the kitchen takes care in keeping everything separate.
Unfortunately, one staff member brought my tea out with a gluten biscuit on the side. (To be honest I wasnβt expecting a biscuit and would have been happy enough without as the rest of the food was great value). Another staff member apologised profusely and replaced everything after I asked about it.
I donβt want to complain too much as it was a mistake and Iβm grateful for any place that offers gluten free and food for coeliacs. Although it might be wise to double check if youβre unsure of anything.
I really enjoyed the cake, good texture for gluten free.

Busy place which is always a good recommendation in itself.
Some foods have to be requested and cooked to order but never takes long.
... And have a gluten free day every month for those with specific dietary needs
Always clean and presentable
The website indicates that all dishes can be adapted gluten-free, that there are risottos and many more choices of pasta and pizza than on the site's menu. Arrived there: no more choice, no gluten-free option for pizzas and no risotto. Fortunately there is gluten-free pasta. The map on the internet is misleading, too bad.
I love a pizza. Love βem. But a takeaway pizza is more than a convenience, it has to be special. Whatβs more, because my tummy appears to protest about gluten, I have to choose my pizzeria carefully; just flour water salt, dough rested for ages. You know the drill.
Tβother week I spent an afternoon in Spex Pistols, also in Dundee, where head honcho, Richard raved about Luigis. So I made it a mission to get there whenever I next could.
What do you need to know? Well, they have an app. Thatβs important because theyβre busy and despite placing an order just after opening at 1700, I was given a collection time of 1915. But thatβs fine, I had the option of ditching the order on the app once I had this beta. The app was a doddle to use and I could, and did, customise my choices.
Collection: These guys and gals are in Hilltown, which isnβt town centre. I had the car and it was an easy spin. Google reckoned it would take half an hour to march there from the V&A. Just be aware that you might have to earn your calories if you are leather-tramping.
The staff? Engaging, charismatic and funny. As soon as I arrived I was greeted, and chit-chat commenced. But no time was wasted. They hit my order. This was going to be fresh.
And it was. Fresh and quick. Itβs Neapolitan style, right? In the oven a couple of minutes. The smell was amazing. I was desperate to tuck in. Exceptional flavours, cooked to perfection and warm, Scottish service. Itβs not all deep-fried mars bars and stovies up here, you know.
As someone new to having to dine gluten Free I was pleasantly surprised at the number of options, enjoyed a lovely and crispy fish chips and some Mousse cake. Friendly service and nice ambience, would visit again when in Dundee!

Heavenly Desserts in Dundee is a paradise for dessert lovers. The elegant, modern setting and extensive menu of indulgent treats make it a standout spot. From rich chocolate fondants and creamy cheesecakes to vegan and gluten-free options, thereβs something for everyone. The desserts are beautifully presented, and the quality of ingredients shines through.
The service is friendly, and the atmosphere is perfect for a casual outing or a special treat. The experience is worth it. Highly recommended for a luxurious sweet escape!
Very disappointed in the poor allergen information.
Previously had a separate no gluten menu, and easy to follow info. We chose here due to good experiences with this in the past. Now there is only a folder of printed allergen information, which is almost impossible to follow, seems incomplete, and I still didn't get the cheesecake I ordered, as it apparently contained gluten despite it being marked as ok in the folder. I chose banoffee cheesecake -if I had known it would be forest fruit cheesecake I would have gone for ice-cream instead (though it was still good)
The staff in Dundee were lovely, were clearly very allergy aware, and I decided to trust them (and no symptoms so far, which means my faith was well placed). Chefs and waiters were great, but clearly hampered by central management not giving them the right menus/ inserts for allergen folder.
There is no meaningful allergen information that I can find online. The folder was paper printouts, which seemed to be for multiple menus, but no clear headings to help me find the right one. (Contained a number of different bits for daytime /evening specials/breakfast/kids/Christmas/valentine's, but I couldn't figure out which matched the main menu we were given with prices and descriptions of dishes).
Some dishes on menu didn't seem to appear in the allergen folder at all. Others had contradictory info in different places (e.g. double stack burger with gluten free bun was gluten free, but elsewhere double stack burger without bun contained gluten?? π€)
Popped in for lunch yesterday, it was lovely. My daughter is celiac and was delighted with her burger. One of the best she has tasted. Staff were fully aware and appreciative of gluten free requirements. They have a separate area in their kitchen for preparing gluten free. Would definitely recommend π.
Excellent service lovely staff , food excellent also and great value for money , my friend and I visit every Tuesday
They also cater well for gluten free dietary requirements ππ
Very tasty and generous portions, manager was happy to help us with gluten free options, really nice service and decorations. Looking forward to going back soon!
