Fantastic place for excellent fish and chips. Gluten free options and the Scampi is delicious. Seems to be busy all the while and we now know why. Inside seats available.
Extremely helpful and kind staff. Very aware of all types of allergens not just coeliac so added bonus
In my opinion it’s the best food in Plymouth with so much sweet and savoury variety
We are frequent visitors to Rockfish but this was our first time here at Plymouth. It was my Birthday treat and we went for the Madras mussels (this is the height of the 6 week prime mussel season) and the tinned Mackeral. Both were sublimely delicious, the mussels we plump, juicy and sweet, don’t think tinned fish here is like tinned supermarket fish, it is hand fileted and hand packed and is devine. We will be trying the sardines and tuna too at some point. I usually go for battered fish as they do it gluten and dairy free which is rare. This time tho I fancied the day fish whole grilled John Dory which was in the sea yesterday, you won’t find fish fresher unless you catch it yourself. My wife had the battered Hake which is always great. Try something different too, you won’t regret it.
We came all the way from Cairns Australia to try a proper Devonshire Cream Tea, and the Tudor Rose did not disappoint. Thank you for catering for Coeliacs with the gluten-free option too. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 definitely recommend 👌
It was obvious that the team were short staffed as there were only 2 of them. The lady who served us looked like she was the manager. She was extremely apologetic about any wait, and was very helpful regarding my gluten intolerance. My daughter and I really felt for her and the other lady working the tables and would like to commend them for their efficiency and politeness during a difficult time for them. They are an asset to your business.
Positives: Decent pizza including the gluten free option. Problems are more around its management of the restaurant. We waited over 45 minutes for two pizzas, which seams long to me. General areas are grubby and could easily be improved. The toilets were filthy! When full the restaurant was VERY noises. This could be improved with a bit of work.
A fantastic meal, very friendly and knowledgeable staff, reasonably priced.
Excellent choice of gluten free foods.
Our waiter Ryan was the best and very helpful 🫶
Honestly the most sensational hidden gem, my partner and I stumbled across Cosmic Kitchen looking for something to cater to my allergies (gluten and dairy)
Turned out to be the perfect birthday evening.
Welcomed really warmly by the lovely server/ bartender who was super knowledgeable, kind and understanding about my allergies (gutted I never got their name)
Hands down the best Pina Colada I've ever been recommended/served, delicious vegan DOC wine as well.
Really relaxed cosy atmosphere, stylish layout with mellow music.
Also super grateful to have multiple options for dessert from the pudding counter (we took away a vegan peanut butter cup which was out of this world.
I love the fact they host music nights, will definitely visit again in the future
Me and my partner went to the cosy club yesterday! The service was super fast and the waitress that served us was lovely, friendly and very prompt! She made us feel very welcome. We didn’t have any issues and we enjoyed our time there.
I am GLUTEN FREE and Ive always struggled to find restaurants to eat in where I actually like the food but here I enjoyed the food. I had the double smash burger with fries and it was amazing!! Not one fault in the food what so ever they displayed my allergy flags and was cooked just the way I like it! We will definitely be returning when we come back to Plymouth! Well done guys 👏
I joined my friend and her family (six people in total), who had met together following the passing of a close relative of theirs. The service was very poor and our order wasn't put through. It was only when my friend's sister asked why we were waiting so long, when other people around us who had ordered after us, were eating, that the manager came over to us to tell us that the server had forgotten to put our order through to the kitchen. This was very disappointing, as we had already been waiting a long time before we said anything. The manager told us that she would arrange for us to have some garlic bread while we waited. This was no good to me as I am gluten and lactose intolerant. I was starting to feel quite light-headed with the long wait for the food. Unbelievably, the garlic bread was also forgotten and left on the side, ready to be delivered to us. Once again, we had to chase this up. Our food, which was fine, eventually arrived, and the one positive outcome of our disappointing experience, was that we weren't charged for the food, which we appreciated. We chose this restaurant as it is accessible for my friend, who has mobility issues, but we are unlikely to be visiting again.
We had a lovely meal and fantastic service. The gluten free pizza was delicious, everything was beautifully prepared and presented. The bottomless drinks were cold and delicious. The salad bar was well stocked and our littlest party member was brought a puzzle sheet and crayons. Air con was very welcome and so were we. Free parking right by the door. The children had unlimited ice cream and salad. We weren't rushed and could sit where we liked.
This place is superb - go here! I went with my wife for a last-minute date. The atmosphere is lovely, unassuming and perfectly pitched for casual dining. Service was excellent, friendly, knowledgeable and engaging. And the food! Everything we ate was delicious. My wife is coeliac and was accommodated perfectly. I had one of the best fish stews I have ever eaten with far more fish than you could shake a stick at, Rosie had an adapted mackerel dish which somehow made the mackerel feel delicate (I’ve been off mackerel for a while but this dish firmly put me back on to it!). I suspect this is going to become a favourite!
We eat here on a regular occasion. My wife is celiac, which means we struggle to find gluten-free locations. This exceeds expecting on takeaway and eat in. The location is right on the waterfront. The best view of the sea from a restaurant in the city in my opinion. Highly recommend this location.
Popped in for the first time for breakfast as we were up in Plymouth. Loved the atmosphere, staff were very friendly. Food was excellent. My partner is celiac and they had a big range and nothing was too much trouble.
A really good meal - they catered equally well for an omnivore, two vegans and one of us with gluten intolerance! A lovely, quiet back room, helpful service and excellent wine list. A lovely surprise and one to revisit.
Lovely welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, quick service even though it was busy but above all delicious food!!
Very good value for money too - the dish I chose was half a chicken and it was so big I asked for a dish to take some of it home!
Gluten free foods are clearly marked on the menu with several dishes including desserts to choose from.
It was so good we are going back again exactly a week later this coming weekend for a birthday meal!
Our server was lovely and he showed us what they could do vegan and gluten free which remarkably was most of the menu. The food was really good and the papaya salad on the specials especially!
