the workers are fine and the food is what it is. the 10% “concession recovery fee” is bull shit. also no listed added price for gluten free. all in all + ~ $5 than the listed price. ~$19 for a jersey mike’s sub with no chips or drink is crazy work
We got stuck in the airport due to cancellations, and slap fish was the only place open. I needed to get something gluten free and the cashier was very helpful. I think everything was a bit overpriced for the portions, but it tasted good and it was a hot meal.
My son wanted to have his birthday lunch at I Heart Mac & Cheese. It was our first time. This is a franchise location and the owner was very friendly and helpful.
My husband ordered the short rib Philly mac & cheese with classic mac & cheese bacon jalapeño bites.
The birthday boy had a build your own grilled cheese on Sourdough with white cheddar, yellow cheddar, mozzarella, muenster, and pepperoni, with classic mac& cheese bites, and tater tots.
My younger son had build your own mac with pasta, cheese sauce, mojo pulled pork, white cheddar, Muenster, and bread crumbs.
I had the classic mac and cheesy broccoli.
The food was delicious. We were all happy. And, they serve Coke products. There are fountain and bottled options. Plus some kind of coffee machine.
Parking in the structure behind the building was easy and free.
Bonus, we happened to come in during happy hour (M-F 3-5), which my husband greatly appreciated and sealed the deal that we will be coming back.
We saw that there were gluten-free and vegan options. Even options for making more of a protein bowl.
I highly recommend you check this place out.
Pictures show short rib Philly with bacon jalapeño bites (minus some that he gave to share), and the classic mac with cheesy broccoli. Sorry, I didn't get good pics of the others.
The food is incredible , I had the gluten-free flatbread, and it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Honestly, I’ve never had anything here I didn’t like. Everything is consistently delicious, the service is always friendly and on point, and the atmosphere? Just amazing.
The music took me back ,it reminded me of home in the best way. There’s something about this place that just feels warm, welcoming, and real.
If you’re looking for great food, great service, and a cozy, nostalgic vibe , this is the spot. Don’t miss it!
I asked for a gluten-free sub and was met with the response that my food would take slightly longer as the sides had to be sanitized to ensure no cross contamination took place. On top of this, my server also changed their gloves to help with this. The staff really couldn't have been any more friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I enjoyed it so much I had to go back a second time on my trip to L.A.
Amazing - came here with my two young daughters, one vegetarian and one gluten free, and we had an incredible meal that satisfied all of us. We’ve just spent 3 weeks travelling around and have had a variety of food in 3 different states - tonight’s dinner has got to be one of the best of the entire trip! Serving sizes don’t match the classic standard US serving size - but that’s the beauty of it: you get a good meal that is full of flavour and you pay an appropriate price. Very happy!
Chicken soup 🍲 Surf & Turf Borroto were devine.
I personally love the soup it wasn't spicy the spice was on the side it wasn't overly spiced out you could feel the chicken broth and the fresh boiled chicken with slices of squash and zucchini and if you carry it to pieces with some cabbage which makes it a healthy combination that I really enjoyed.
It comes with a choice of tortilla you can get corn that's gluten free I suppose and the side of rice small portion with some diced onions on the side.
The surf and turf was definitely a big meal consisting of beef and shrimps. We added guacamole and sour cream which gives it a whole different taste. It comes with bell peppers stuffed in it and some cheese and on the side some tortilla chips that was tasty and well fried.
The stuff were very lovely and friendly we ended up sitting outside, it's a nice corner for food that tastes like homemade we were going to the Cinco de Mayo down the street but I'm so glad we ended up with the start of food instead that's definitely a plus if you don't feel like cooking and still want some homemade Grandma type of food.
We had some time to kill before our flight back to the east coast, so we decided to check out The Proud Bird, near the airport. My husband had been here many years ago when it was just a restaurant, but the renovations done to provide a variety of food and drinks was similar to something we have in our home town. We weren't starving so we just ordered 2 pizzas to share, and they were delicious! I had a gluten free barbeque chicken pizza and I loved it! The playground was a perfect spot for our 6 year old and we all enjoyed walking around to see the planes on display. It was really neat every time I plane flew in too, as they were really close! Overall we had a great time here and would come back if we were in the area!
SO disappointed. I eat gluten-free, not celiac. I tried to order grilled chicken and was told they didn't have any. How can you make such a big deal about having gluten-free sauce when you have nothing to put it on? I didn't even bother to look at anything else. I can get fries anywhere.
Just about the only gluten free option availability at the Tom Bradley terminal. I actually bought a second burger to eat straight away. This was enough to help get me through 38 hours of long haul flights.
Just what we needed. Everything was delicious & the gentleman waited on us hand & foot. It's on a busy street but you can find parking in the Starbucks/Bristol Farms area. Vegan, vegetarian, & gluten-free options. + a delicious spinach ramen!
