The seafood was excellent! The PEI mussels tasted super fresh. The alcohol-free wine was great too. We had a wonderful evening. Not bad for a gluten-free Italian meal! The staff are very accommodating and welcoming.
The other reviews are right about the gluten free bread, it's excellent and we all know that's hard to find. The food is very good overall, the chef knows what they're doing. It's a bit overpriced though, considering my breakfast sandwich had very little bacon and my turkey sandwich seemed like it should have come with some kind of side given the price. Everyone there was very nice and I liked it enough to go back for lunch.
This used to be one of my favorite spots to go because of their tasty and safe gluten free food. I have celiac disease and it is really hard to find places I can trust. I was willing to try out the new concept. However, it was disappointing to find out I couldn't have the chips or the beans, as they weren't gluten free. There was also absolutely no indication on the menu what items were gluten free. I was hoping for better.
Full Afterburner Calzones is one of Denver's hidden gems that deserves more credit than it probably gets. Amazing calzones, a really cool atmosphere, priced at an amazing price and not too far from other fun spots! Most of the staff is friendly and nice although sometimes I can't tell if my order annoyed them or their just having a rough day. It's a huge added bonus that they have gluten free dough as well as I am someone who has dietary restrictions. Overall a really nice low-key spot that has some of the best gluten-free calzones. 👌
Good piece of New Orleans in denver! Food was good, not great/didn’t wow us. Really enjoyed the beignets and different egg dishes for breakfast. Also, they had a few gluten free options which was surprising— even gluten free bread from Deby’s for GF French toast. (The bread looked not Gf so i asked where it was from to confirm to be certain for celiac.) Will come back when craving some Nola style food
Perfect place to stop no matter the occasion. The decor and vibe of the place is very relaxed, the menu is extensive and has a great variety, and the employees were great. The offer indoor and outdoor seating, dog treats, clean gender neutral bathrooms, and WiFi. They seem to bring in a lot of the college crowd (there were a lot of people there working on laptops and enjoying cups of joe). Overall, a wonderful place to stop! I loved the gluten free zucchini bread and their hot chocolate.
We used Illegal Pete's catering for our wedding and that was the BEST decision ever. Jesse was extremely helpful in making sure we had everything and more for our special day. Aside from ourselves, we heard nothing but "THIS IS AWESOME" or "SO DELICIOUS" from our guests. The buffet style allowed everyone to get what they wanted and had options for gluten free, vegetarian, and vegans.
Favorite Indian restaurant ever! Many, many gluten free and vegan options! Even fried onion rings. Authentic, delicious, omg don’t miss out! Prices are reasonable as well. They make great drinks too! Love the tamarind margarita! Hope they still have the buy one get one happy hour. Love love this place!
Questionably worthy of bib gourmand status in our opinion. Salsa and guac were quite good, but it's just salsa and guac. The tacos were only okay. If you're going to "deconstruct" them, then more sauce is required and not just the salsa/sour cream that were on the side. It felt lazy and bland. A good taco has an interesting dressing/sauce so that the taco is juicy and full of flavor. While the birria was good (hard to be bad, though, to be honest, as it's seared in butter with melted cheese), the regular tacos (chicken and lamb) were just lacking something and a little dry. The bland corn tortillas (we're gluten free) were dry and too present, with the only moisture coming from added sour cream and salsa. Maybe their flour tortillas are better? Good thing I liked the salsa, but it made the taco experience too similar to the chip appetizer experience. So 50/50 experience: chips and dips + birria, yes, but the other tacos . . . not really.
Cool spot! Another one visited with bRUNch club. It's a spacious place with good staff and tasty food.
We tried classic breakfasts: eggs your way and breakfast tacos, both with delicious, crispy bacon. The tater tots in eggs your way were delightful. The tacos were surprisingly flavourful, and I loved the cheese sauce. They also have a good variety of tasty mimosas.
Gluten free situation: I know there are pancake options, but I didn't try it this time. I didn't ask about cross-contamination risk. I just hoped corn tortillas would be safe enough and avoided the potatoes just in case.
