I came from out of state to visit a friend and unfortunately I have celiac disease which makes eating difficult at best. My friend was recommended this place for me and it was fantastic. Upon arrival they ask if ant vegetarian or gluten free menus are needed and when I went to order the waiter knew exactly what I meant when I told him about having celiac. The gluten free menu was clear and also labeled to advise how items were cooked like the chicken wings we shared. Instead of being fried, which celiacs can't have food from a shared fryer, they are oven roasted, came out with a wooden marker in them stating "Allergy" to differentiate it. I got the chicken parm sandwich which they pan fry separately, came on a gluten free bun and the allergy stick. The woman who delivered it guaranteed the bun was gluten free (iykyk) and stated her sister has celiac, eats there all the time and gets the precautions needed. We had some good laughs with her too! The place was busy, but staff were so friendly and attentive. Definitely go and if you're celiac please try it and enjoy the sense of normalcy!
Delphine’s Kitchen and Delphine herself, are the most wonderful around! My wife and I are regulars, and recently had Delphine make the desserts for our rehearsal luncheon. Everything is delicious beyond belief, with numerous gluten free options. The team at Delphine’s is communicative, kind, and they really live up to their tagline of “French comfort food.” A bite of anything from Delphine’s is like a hug!
The upcharge of $3 for gluten free toast is absurd, sides of gluten free toast is $3,sides of toast are 1.95 . Any more than 1.05 upcharge is taking advantage of a disease. Celiac is not a choice / I’m willing to pay the difference. If you’d remove $1.95 when I decline toast it would make more sense/ you should only charge the difference. Very disappointed
Ordered from here for the 1st time Friday night. I got the White Bianca pizza on a gluten free crust which was really good! It was also reasonably priced. Will be ordering from here again
I ordered a Dijon Chicken wrap & turned it into a bowl because I'm gluten free. It's a huge portion and so delicious!! It's a must try whether you live here or just passing through.
Just moved to the north shore after years in Boston. Was very intrigued by the menu and story of this restaurant, and then I tried the food! Blew me away!! The caramelized eggplant is to die for! Everything my family ordered was delicious, and the members of our group who suffer from celiac deeply appreciated the care taken with the menu and food to keep them safe!
