Gusto Coffee Shop is a wonderful place to stop for Breakfast, especially for the Gluten Free Eater. My family and I stopped by for breakfast, here’s what we had: A Gluten Free Three Meat Burrito, A Gluten Free Jalapeño Sausage Roll, a Gluten Free Donut, a regular Three Meat Burrito, and a Snickerdoodle Cookie.
The staff here were incredibly friendly and service was great! However, one of our favorite things about this coffee shop was the fact that they had a kids play corner! Huge bonus for any toddler parents out there!!
This place was great! You have to try the Chicken Pot Pie! It was sooo good. They also have a gluten free bun, the good ones! So, you can have a burger or a sandwich if you are gluten sensitive.
Loved the Honey Jack pizza It has honey mustard as the sauce! The gluten-free crust was amazing! They serve 10-in and 14 in gluten free. Also had the orchard chicken salad with balsamic dressing. Love the bartender ( Krista) .. she's super friendly and outgoing . And she knows how to make some amazing drinks!!!
Meat- Bland
Slaw- Terrible, bland
Fries- not bad
Beans- not bad
Wine- $11 glass of pinot tasted like Franzia
Cocktail- Very unbalanced tasted medicinal and bitter(I usually like bitter)
Portions not great but acceptable if they were tasty. Also asked for no toast (I'm gluten free) which can be annoying for a restaurant but not difficult to check and they weren't even busy. Also the food didn't make me feel good which is rare for me. Overall bad experience.
One of our favorite spots in Parkville. Very accommodating for both gluten free options and dining with kids. The GF breaded chicken was incredible, and they even made them into GF “tenders” for our kids. The ribeye was also great.
As you will see my husband had also left a review. A glowing one at that but I'm here to warn anyone with food sensitivities of any type to stay away. Tonight is the 2nd time they claimed my wife's meal was gluten free. The first time was a take out order that had tempura in the spicy roll. Tonight it was their smoked salmon sushi as they marinate that in non gf soy sauce and smoke it themselves. We knew this.... they apparently forgot. The only person there that understands is a female, do not trust the sushi bar staff as they apparently havent a clue. I am full blown Celiac and I can never risk eating here again. Am really regretting giving a 2nd chance, for at least the next 3-5 days.... possibly longer. Twice they have made me sick. Sad too because as you saw in hubby's review we loved the place.
Went for the first time the other night and WOW, this is now already one of our favorite places in town. The vibe and ambience of the place is fantastic...laid back and cool but energetic. Every one of the staff that we interacted with was incredibly kind and fun, helpful and knowledgeable. The food itself is spectacular. I had the trout and it might have been the most perfectly cooked piece of fish I've eaten...perfectly seasoned and accompanied by sides that complement, not overwhelm. My husband had the roast chicken and he couldn't stop talking about how tasty it was. We also had half salads, I the Caesar and he the Mediterranean, both of which were also delicious. For dessert we split some creme brulee which was perfection. I also had the espresso martini and hubs had a glass of tawny port to finish a fantastic dining experience. We're already looking forward to our next visit. Oh and as a side benefit, my husband must eat gluten free and they had many options available for GF diners. Win win!
