I have Celiac disease and Cancer today was a very busy day for me I had a taste for Singapore Mei Fun. The Manager came to me and noticed that I said no heat, no curry no sauce. She suggested to try one of the three sauces she put in my bag. The I used th sauce they use in Lo Mein. It was very tasty, packed with chicken etc the chicken egg roll was cooked to perfection. I am giving a 10 on a scale of five. Job well done I absolutely suggest this restaurant to anyone visiting this weekend. I got the order to go but I am enjoying it as I post this review. Should have taken a photo but it was so good I forgot to lol
We stopped here due to other reviews that said they offer gluten free menu and options since I’m celiac.
Atmosphere and service excellent. For the quality of food, it was great but the flavors could be better versus other places I’ve eaten at.
This was the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. I had a misunderstanding with the waiter, but the way they handled it was beyond unacceptable. I specifically mentioned that I’m gluten-free, but they still brought me soup with gluten noodles. I assumed they would substitute it with rice noodles, as that’s a common practice in most decent restaurants.
When the soup arrived, I politely informed the waiter that I couldn’t eat gluten and wouldn’t eat the soup, as I hadn’t even touched it. I asked for a replacement, but instead of accommodating my dietary restriction, the waiter rudely responded, “That’s your problem, you have to pay for the soup,” and then walked away without offering any solutions.
The service was absolutely horrendous. They didn’t care about my dietary needs or the mistake they made. The staff here clearly doesn’t care about their customers at all. If you have any dietary restrictions, be prepared to be treated like it’s your fault. You’ll be forced to pay for food you can’t eat, and they’ll just shrug and tell you it’s not their problem before walking away.
I will NEVER come back to this restaurant again. Avoid this place at all costs if you value basic respect and decent service.
This is a great place!! We enjoyed our delicious burgers & fries at the huge outdoor seating area with our 2 dogs. Their gluten free bun was pretty good too. We then shared a piece of their gluten free carrot cake and OMG!!! We'll definitely be back!
So good! They have a gluten free specialty sushi roll menu and gf soy sauce! Service was excellent even provided recommendation and guidance regarding roll and saki selections. Would highly recommend!
I indulged in some dishes, which not only did not contain any gluten but also did not disappoint in the flavor department. You really must sample their fresh beverages; it is unlike anything else I have ever had the pleasure of tasting.
This was my first time at Mofu and I will absolutely go back! I have Celiacs and the entire restaurant was kindly accommodating to help me avoid Gluten. The menu also has some delicious Gluten free options. The assistant manager waited on us and was the friendliest person, he gave me a whole list of gluten free options and offered me substitutions to make other menu items Celiacs friendly. My meal came out 3-5 min after my parties due to an error in the kitchen and he was kind enough to comp their delicious Vietnamese Coffee Mousse - wholly unnecessary as I was not bothered, but highly appreciated! Myself and my friends had a great meal, great drinks and the best time!
My family and I spent nearly $500 to eat here today. While the atmosphere is nice and relaxed, everything else fell short. I'm thoroughly disappointed with the value and service I received.
First of all, why is there no infant changing station in the bathroom? I had to change my 4mo on one of the booth seats. How unsanitary is that. Why have boosters for babies but no station?
Second, the servers were very unhelpful! I have Celiac's and was told all of my specific items were gluten free. Now I'm home in so much pain because of a reaction.
Third, the selection is so limited. For as much as it is to eat here, at least have quality meats and vegetables. At least have fish and leafy greens and fruit. We weren't provided any oil to grill anything. The veggies were so dry. It truly sucked.
Fourth, the host and server told us different information. We had a large party to celebrate my mother's accomplishments, and we were told by the host that the kids would eat at the kids price. Upon paying, they told us they'd be charged as adults. An 7, 9, and 12 year old! Why were they charged as adults?? And they tried to seat us in separate areas even though we were together. Like, across the room away. We had to ask to be seated near each other even though there was plenty of seating where we could sit together. I don't understand why they did that.
If I'm going to pay over $40 plus gratuity, I'd rather eat elsewhere. Kpot in Raleigh is a much better place overall. The selection is wonderful and the people are lovely at Kpot. So disappointed with today at Seol Grille. Also, it's so ingenuine to give goodie bags for posts on Instagram and reviews. Please stop.
P.S. we had one male server that was great and treated us well. He was new and we didn't get his name. Thank you for making our time there a bit better <3
I may be wrong so please let me know if I am! I had this at a work event yesterday and the food was very good! I do have a gluten allergy and recall asking one of the servers if the noodles were gluten free. While I do believe the noodles were gluten free I don’t know if the soy sauce used in the noodles was. Only reason I say this is bc my stomach was in KNOTS after eating the food. Once again if I am wrong and GF soy sauce was used I will update the review but until then I will leave the 2 stars.
Update: was 100% my fault for not reading the instructions. They did reach out and confirm, food was amazing regardless!
One of my favorite sushi spots in the area. Wide selection of options. I’ve been twice and both times did not disappoint. Very happy to learn that they had my favorites, baked and deep fried rolls. I spoke with the lady about gluten free options and she took the time to walk me through the menu for what could and couldn’t be made gluten free. She was very kind and did not make me feel as if I was bothering her with my questions. She seemed happy to answer them. I feel very welcome there and will be returning for more 😋
Gluten allergy and server wasn’t very helpful. I asked about the safety of 2 different dishes that she didn’t know the ingredients for but said they probably aren’t safe. She didn’t seem to want to be bothered to check so I settled on sushi and she brought something I didn’t order. I opted to starve. I was just frustrated and chose to eat at home.
Great food, yes it’s pricy but usually tastes fresh. You can get gluten, dairy or whatever you want free. I prefer the Kona with rice. Super delicious and nice location.
We decided to try something new in hopes of a good gluten free vegan dinner experience. And we weren't disappointed!
While this place definitely constitutes a whole in the wall in a strip mall, the service and food were both phenomenal. The prices weren't anything to sneeze at either!
We were the only ones in there when we arrived, so we got great service from our server. She went through the menu with us and let us know that 4 of the vegetarian rolls could be made gluten free and vegan. So we went with edamame as a starter and got the:
Avocado Roll
Cucumber Roll
Veggie Roll
Fried Tofu Roll (they took off the toppings from this one since they contained both gluten and eel sauce)
They had Kikkoman gluten free soy sauce for us to use also, we just had to ask.
And while their wine selection isn't vast, the bottle of Malbec we shared for $20 was actually pretty darn good.
By the time we were leaving, all of their tables were full and there were people waiting for a table. So obviously this place does good business with their great food, service and pricing. Overall, this is a place we would come back to again.
