Aura Waterfront Restaurant + Patio

A fabulous spot to have lunch. We shared a charcuterie board which was full of great cheese, meat and fruit as well as crackers and bread. Spot on. I had the moules in Tom yum broth which were probably the best mussels I have ever had. The broth was perfectly balanced with chilli and coriander. A pint of the red amber ale went well with it. We also had a salmon burger and there were lots of gluten free options. Our waiter was superb too. Just go, you won’t regret it!

Appetizers are excellent. For the main, had the winter green salad with lingcod. It was good but unfortunately it had a long hair embedded under the fish. The server took the main back to the kitchen but I’m sure I got the same piece of fish back - it was cut in the same places it had been cut before it went back to the kitchen. For dessert we had the creme catalana which was outstanding. The restaurant has an award winning pastry chef. The server was very good. Based on our experience, I suggest skipping mains and going for dessert. Other restaurants nearby are much better based on my experience. Safe for celiacs

They actually have a separate fryer for gluten-free. So good! We had the beef burger and steak frites both gluten free and both amazing!
