Unfortunately we had a really bad experience at this pub. I was taking my fiance out for a date and he was very excited to have fish and chips again (Gluten Free.). I will say the perogies were very good, it was two big perogies in one order - not the best quantity but the flavour was very good. I ordered the mushroom gnocchi and my fiance ordered the two piece fish and chips.
The first thing that was off was the waiter brought food to the table beside us but as he was putting their food down he quickly took the plates back around the corner and brushed something off the plate. Then came back and one of the ladies he was serving asked what that was all about, he dodged the question and left. It set an odd tone right away.
After a while, our waiter returned to tell me he "couldn't sell me the mushroom gnocchi" he wasn't being direct and avoided telling me why so I ordered the mac n cheese. He wasn't sure if I could have that either so went to check. It was such a weird vibe around the whole situation and a little unsettling.
Anyways, when he brought out our order, his thumb dipped into my mac n cheese. He left and then came running back to tell me he gave me the lobster mac n cheese not then regular. he asked me if I had eaten it yet and was relieved when i said no.. I assume he was going to bring it to someone else? I finally got the mac n cheese and he said to be careful, the skillet is very hot, it wasn't, i literally picked it up to take it off the serving plate because it had a bunch of greasy finger prints on it.
The food was sadly not good at all. The fish and chips had next to no fish, it was just super thick batter. The mac n cheese barely had a flavour and had glazed over from sitting out. It was an extremely disappointing experience.
To wrap this up, the table behind us had to return their food because there was "A shard of glass" in it.
The server comped our meals and we left very unsatisfied. I know people have off days but man was everything going wrong that evening.
I am sad to say we will never return or recommend this place.

First time at the fish store and tried the gluten free halibut. Staff were very knowledgeable and asked if this was Celiacs.
Lots of choices on menu and fish and fries turned out very tasty!
A hidden gem with inventive plant-based dishes, a chic vibe, and seasonal creations that promise a delightful culinary experience.

No MSG No Garlic Foodie
We decided to visit Victoria after finding several restaurants offering vegan food. Since Be Love is dedicated vegan and also gluten free, it was my first choice. However, there wasn't that many items on the menu to my taste, but since they promise seasonal items, I had hoped that there would be some pleasant surprises. The rest of my party decided to order organic red and white wines by the glass. I chose Earthblood Tonic juice made with carrot, beet, celery, kale and ginger. It was very refreshing and looked stunning. The Mac Bowl appealed to me because it claimed to have braising greens, seasonal vegetable, and broccoli. I was warned that the sauce contains garlic, but I took a chance hoping that it would be black garlic rather than fresh garlic. Fortunately, the garlic was hardly noticeable and I was not affected. It was a very rich dish and I loved the creamy taste of the sauce. The roasted hazel nuts were strange and tasted as though the vegetables still had soil/sand/grit. I was disappointed with the scant amount of greens and vegetables, and if I had known, I might have asked for extra vegetables. And of course, I could not finish it the macaroni. If it wasn't for the 'gritty texture' I would have rated this four stars. My friends ordered the daily special gluten free ravioli with nettle. They all loved it. We also shared a platter with flatbread, cashew cream cheese, apple & beet chutney. I was only able to have one item because the rest were heavy with garlic.
Enjoy a warm, inviting atmosphere with expertly crafted dishes that delight all taste buds, making it a must-visit hidden gem.

Had dinner with My best friend and my mother last night. Shalena’s service was exceptional. My mum has food issues that can be a challenge. Shalena could not have been more accommodating.
Mum often avoids going for dinner due to her FOD diet
Mum was so happy to be so well taken care. Thank you for the exceptional service.
They have a special deep fryers to accommodate people who are celiac and willing to adjust a dish to suit my mums food challenges.
Cheers

Great celiac safe barbecue place! Everything is GF except waffles and regular buns, but they take precautions to keep celiac customers safe (changing gloves, etc). They have fantastic fried chicken which is GF, fried only with fries (also GF), and the regular bbq things. Great sandwiches, poutine, and fried chicken!
This spot is a late-night gem with a diverse menu, perfect for anyone with dietary restrictions and a solid vibe for a casual hangout.

We needed gluten free and we were very happy to know that they have a dedicated gluten free menu and they use a dedicated gluten free fryer for their food. It can be really hard to find a lot of places like this, but this is by far my favourite place to eat in Victoria! I really want to thank everyone there who made it very easy to find safe food for us.
A vibrant spot with great atmosphere, creative cocktails, and accommodating service that leaves diners eager to return.

Cactus club is great for celiacs. They have a dedicated fryer. Staff are generally nice about allergies, I’ve only had one server who wasn’t kind. Otherwise I’ve been lots- it’s my go to restaurant living with celiac disease. Thanks for making eating out possible!
A casual spot with a fun vibe where burgers are a hit, though fries need improvement, making it a favorite for many burger lovers.

We get this delivered so I have atmosphere and service top marks!
I really enjoy the burgers and the gluten free + lactose free options. My whole family craves the burgers. We also love the milk shakes and began milk shake.
But the fries... we no longer order the fries from there. They really really need to bring up their game. Try them at Big Wheel or OPA to taste great, crisp, tasty fries. I see review after review slamming the fries... yet they haven't changed them!?! I'm a bit amazed we aren't being listened to. Perhaps they don't realize they don't travel well? I just don't know.
Enjoy a chill vibe with great atmosphere and awesome burger options, perfect for a relaxed meal with friends.

The exciting thing for me at this White Spot was that they have a separate fryer for gluten free fries and with a gluten free bun, I was able to have a full, normal hamburger meal. Service was slow. I like being able to have conversations over a meal so the quieter atmosphere worked.
