The staff is great, and the management is wonderful. Amy and DJ [the owners] are just sweet, solid couple, and their restaurant boasts some of the best Ethiopian I've ever had, either here or in Louisiana. They served me the collards, which was flavored so well on its own, but went so perfectly with this chickpea sauce and bread wrap...Turns out, the bread wrap is called Injera, and has "practically no gluten" and is nutrient rich. The beef they got me (I think it was "Lega Tibs?") was so good and mellow, I could eat it all day.. I brought some home to my wife, and she thought the exact same. We've gotta go back. And the coffee! Dude, the coffee—with no additives whatsoever—is the most chocolatey tasting, non-acidic or bitter, smooth coffee I've ever had. And I worked at a Roastery for 3 years. We had some darn good coffee, but you've gotta try this. It's made in this unique, small pan, made-to-order, fresh-roasted process.. The place is now my go-to Ethiopian spot. And the portions were good!! Can't forget that!! May God bless 'em more than He already is. And may He bless you if you try them out—they're good people who do good work.
