Batavia's Original Pizzeria

Honestly not happy to write this review as we have eaten here for years and I like to support local businesses especially ones with gluten free options. But the last few times we have ordered the service has gotten consistently worse and then we ended up with food arriving 2-3 hours after being ordered without being warned it would take that long and the food being very cold and not appetizing at all. (cold and hard fries, cold soggy wings, cold soggy pizza or cold overcooked pizza, etc.) at one point we were given a credit because of these issues and when we tried ordering again the service was the same and the food was just as cold and disappointing. I hope that this is a phase and the restaurant goes back to normal eventually as I know times are hard, but I don't see us ordering from them again because we feel like we are throwing away our money since the food keeps being cold and not fresh and the customer service is unsatisfactory and not entirely truthful about expectations and arrival times. I wouldn't even mind waiting a long time for food sometimes if they were upfront about wait times and if the food arrived fresh and hot. But this is just not the case and they have lost us as customers.

Our favorite wings and pizza in town and I would rate Batavia’s Original a 5 out 5 if they could get my order right and have it ready on time. Last 2x times I ordered (on line) they either forgot the GF pizza on the order or had a regular pizza prepared instead. This time, I was offered a refund on the GF pizza, but that would leave the one of us with celiacs disease without. Had other problems on past orders as well. If only they could get the easy things right. Food is fantastic.
