Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews

I ordered a guac and bacon burger without tomato, and with lettuce wrap (no bun) due to celiac disease. After a long wait without fries, I received my burger with tomato and without bacon. I took off the tomato, but I was so hungry I didn't catch the missing bacon until I was nearly done eating. I brought it up to the waitress and asked about having the price reduced. She said no, but she could bring out bacon now. I said I no longer needed it. She later said that the bacon was removed because of the gluten free order resulting from the Celiacs allergen flag. I have had gluten free (with Celiacs flag) lettuce wrap burgers with bacon for years at this location and have never had the bacon removed. I also have not had issue with contamination. Based on my conversation with the waitress, it appears this RR changed their process for cooking bacon (placing in the non-gluten-free frier instead of microwaving it) and didn't let me know that I would not receive bacon, and then wouldn't compensative $1 for not being served what I ordered and paid for. To be honest, a couple strips of bacon is not a big deal, but the waitress never apologizing, continuing to deflect blame back at me, and making excuses was increasingly frustrating. Overall, the food was slow and served not as ordered, the amount of fries and the size of the patty appeared smaller than before, and the service was frustrating. One positive thing, the free burger and sunday for my wife's birthday was great. Unfortunately, today's experience overall was a bummer. I won't be back any time soon.

Service is friendly and helpful. Cooking staff is inconsistent, my wife is gluten intolerant, and many times they have messed up her order. However, the wait staff and managers have always made it right.
