Delicious Thai food with gluten free options clearly labeled. It wasn't very spicy but it was still delicious!

One of the most delicious and authentic Thai restaurants in DC! I've been eagerly waiting for the opportunity to visit Baan Siam ever since they opened their doors in DC a few years ago, and, wow...my only regret is that I didn't make the journey out to Mt Vernon Triangle earlier! Every single dish is executed to perfection, with the most incredible and bold flavors, and customizable enough to accommodate people with plant-based, pescatarian, and gluten-free diets (i.e., myself). I was super excited to try out their Northern Thai mixed curry, since it's often really difficult to find good Northern Thai food in DC, and I substituted the chicken for fried tofu. The curry was deliciously rich and fragrant, and it had the perfect level of spice. The vegetables still maintained a bit of crunch, and the tofu soaked up all of the delicious sauce, making each pillowy piece an explosion of flavor. I finished the meal with their mango sticky rice, which was exactly what I needed after the intense spice of the curry. The coconut rice was delightfully fragrant and wasn't too sweet, and it paired wonderfully with the light tartness of the mango. I am a bit disappointed that they only had Mexican mangoes, since the Thai mangoes are slightly lighter and more tropical, but the dish was still delicious.
