Absolutely stoked about the gluten free options! Enjoyed a souvlaki & chips! Very well cared for to make sure mine was all gluten free and labelled for our takeaway order! Dedicated fryer for chips which tasted amazing!! Will be returning when we are back in the area! π
Over $40 for a sandwich and a drink. Slapped on an extra $5 charge, which I'm assuming was for asking for it to be gluten free as I was not told about the extra charge and it was not on the menu, just gfo. All for someone to come out after we've been waiting for a while and having already paid to tell us that half our gluten free meal isn't gluten free. So they scrapped all the sides and only gave us the "burger" (which is a sandwich) with no refund. I get they were busy, but what an absolutely disappointing joke. For a smaller local Cafe, you'd expect better service and some compassion and care for their customers. Not extra unexplained charges and half meals with no compensation.
We were able to get a table to dine in on our first night at Bright. The venue is exquisitely decorated, providing a hip yet relaxing ambiance. The service is also good, waiters are friendly and provide a good intro on how to use the QR code to place an order. The food is good, but a bit on the pricey side. What I loved is the chicken pizza which was a bit sweet but tasty. Loved the fact that they had gluten free bases. Thought the capricciosa pizza was way too salty, I guess they put an overwhelming amount of anchovies in it. We had a salad which was tasty but tiny. All in all it was a lovely experience. Not perfect, but would recommend if you are in town. They have a good selection of craft beers.
Really enjoyed the salmon poke bowl. Have had bowls elsewhere that are loaded with way too much rice to cut costs. Generous serve of cured salmon, pickled red cabbage and cucumber with herbs and edamame made the whole dish really satisfying and tasty. Went back for breakfast but my experience was not as good. Ordered the bowl with peanut butter gluten free cereals and fruit, literally one strawberry and a few pieces of sliced banana. One third of the bowl was this awful icy chocolate stuff (Nutella? No idea as I've never eaten it) which wasn't even on the ingredient list so maybe they got my order mixed up with another one. With more fruit and a good dollop of coconut yoghurt this would have been great. As it was the chocolate stuff made it so icky that I couldn't finish it and for the rest of the day I felt heavy and bloated. At $16 for a regular size i felt this was not good value. I like the clean eating concept of this place though so I would go back.
Fabulous little find in Bright. Food is good, reasonably priced (they are big bowls, imho) and service quick. Eat area is tiny, but customer turnover is quite fast. I ate the gluten free miso salmon bowl.
What a wonderful find that I highly recommend!
All menu items (except the bread) in the Plates are gluten free suitable for Coeliacs - double yay! π
The service was exceptional (thanks so much Morgan!), and the food divine (delish flavour explosions from salmon ceviche, fried squid, and char-grilled broccoli-with a side of fries-were all perfection), washed down with some Sunnycliff Brut all made for a fabulous lunch dining experience. π
The place was very busy but the quality of the service and food certainly did not suffer.
Loved the atmosphere too. π
Family friendly (including kids with two legs and four!).

This was THE best gluten free burger I have ever had! Their gf bun was sooo good, and the burger was delicious. They even made sure that it was coeliac for me which is always a plus in my books. I am more often than not disappointed eating out as a coeliac as itβs hard to find good quality gluten free food. I am from Sydney, NSW and nothing has compared to how accomodating country Victoria is for gluten free people. I am truly impressed! Thank you so much and I hope your business thrives in Bright.
