Village Cantina is a vibrant and welcoming Mexican restaurant that truly stands out, especially for those looking for delicious gluten-free options!
The menu is packed with variety, and the gluten-free choices are extensive, and thoughtfully explained. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, taking the time to guide us through the menu and ensure we felt confident about every choice.
The food? Outstanding. The Beef Birria Tacos were absolutely amazing; rich, tender, and bursting with flavour. We also highly recommend the Carne Nachos—loaded, perfectly seasoned, and ideal for sharing (or not!).
Whether you have dietary requirements or just appreciate great Mexican food, Village Cantina delivers on every front. We’ll definitely be back!
We ordered takeout and the food was fantastic!
The owner of this restaurant is gluten-intolerant, so she is very much aware of the dangers of gluten and how to prepare gluten-free meals in the kitchen.
The gluten-free signage in the restaurant’s window inspired quite a bit of confidence too.
There are plenty of options- Definitely a regular spot for me now!
This is probably the best Thai food I have had in the west. Whilst is is more expensive than other local Thai places, the food and the service is worth paying a bit extra for. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, and the wine list is also excellent. We had the braised beef, which was delicious and the smoked chicken green curry is always a winner. My friends also loved their pad Thai noodle, drunken noodle and satay chicken. I have been here a few times, and cannot fault. There were also many options for my gluten free and vegetarian friends.
Lots of gluten free options! Coffee was great, came out super fast (like, under 2 min on a busy Sunday morning) and service very prompt. Menu is quite simple but all the brunch staples are there. Was really nice to sit Al fresco on a balmy summer morning too.
Nice cafe with plenty of coeliac friendly gluten free options. Offers a variety of healthy food. I enjoyed my dish, however the food that was meant to be hot was only lukewarm, and not very filling. The smoothie, however was overly generous and absolutely delicious! I had the Easter Special Hot Cross Bun smoothie, and wow it was such a treat - exceptionally delicious! Cinnamon lovers will adore it! The staff were all very friendly too. Reasonable prices, worth a try, if you’re in the area.
First time for a chicken and a beef burger on Gluten Free buns. Loved the burgers. Tasted fantastic. GF buns were really nice and reasonably priced.
I can see these burgers spreading galactically!
Love this place so much! They have the most amazing little cakes and slices with really good gluten free options. Their food and wine selection is awesome too! Some items can be a little expensive but the quality is great and it's most often worth it!
I came in new to the area on Sunday afternoon, Maddie and Kayla were absolutely sensational staff! Went out of their way to accommodate my elderly blind husband, and brought water to for his service dog who is usually overlooked when dining out. The two girls read and explained the menu to him offering a gluten free bun for his celiac disease. Food was brought out in a timely matter, cannot recommended coming in if not just for the staff themselves!!
The cutest little Vietnamese eatery! The most amazing gluten free vermicelli bowl!!! So delicious! Lovely couple who are the owners and very friendly! Can’t wait to come back!
Finally found a place with gluten free vegetarian pho. We will definitely try this place out as we placed an order through Menulog. Though the honey chicken cost $26.50! See my photo for the honey chicken.
The food is delicious and the staff were familiar with gluten free options on the menu. The laksa with rice noodle and veggie fried rice were gluten free. Generous sized meals.
Great experience visiting here for the first time on a Good Friday. Everybody enjoyed what they had, the gluten free onion rings were exceptional. Just wished they had gluten free more than once a week.
