You know a pizza is good when you can eat the crust without having to dip it in sauce. Excellent stuff! Will definitely come back. Customer service was fantastic. Kitchen looks super clean. I am not celiac but I saw a customer come in to pickup a GF pie and the gentleman washed his hands before touching the box again to give to the customer. Great stuff!
Gluten free waffles with caramel sauce and sautéed bananas. Amazing!! You can also substitute the gf waffles as a savoury base for their eggs Benedicts. So scrumptious!
I will however that the very busy bartender didn't know of his own establishments policies and practices surrounding gluten free. Everything is prepared separately. Use an app like find me GF if you want a more accurate picture of any establishment.
My party of 6 was desperate for food after travelling from Tacoma. The hostess was amazing and was able to squeeze us in at 6pm on Boxing Day. Our server Vinse was an absolute legend in helping us out and ensuring my gluten-intolerant family were kept safe from any gluten. Thank you. Food was great! Poutine was fantastic, they took great care of the lobster mac and cheese, our risotto balls, the jambalaya, the salmon, and the burger. Highly recommend and it was both a harbour and a delight for my in-laws first time to Vancouver. Thank you, Rogue!
This review is for delivery only (from uber eats). The gluten free pizza was delicious. Thin crispy crust , fresh ingredients. I would order from here again.
Located in a historic 1894 heritage house, Espresso Bar & Bistro is a charming spot near Broadway and Cambie. This coffeehouse offers a wide range of options, including:
- Pastries
- Sandwiches
- Breakfast dishes
- Vegetarian/Gluten-free options
- Cocktails, beer, and wine
I've visited Caffe Cittadella multiple times, and it's become one of my favorite spots in the area. I've consistently enjoyed my experiences here.
On my latest visit, I tried the Spinach Feta Cheese Pastry, paired with a hot chocolate. I requested a caffeine-free and low-sugar drink, and the staff made it perfectly to my liking.
I highly recommend Espresso Bar & Bistro for its cozy atmosphere, delicious food, and accommodating staff.
As always, great and tasty food! Not as nice as the one by the convention center, but that one gets a boost from the water so it's not a fair comparison.
I strongly recommend! Gluten free options!
This was incredible sushi. It's genuinely the best tasting meal I had in Vancouver. Maybe even the best veggie sushi I've ever had, actually... the eggplant ended up being a surprising favourite - normally I don't go for it, but the flavours and sauces were perfect. The raspberry was also a refreshing new flavour combo that I loved. Also, don't get me started on the sauces... Urgh the sauces!! I need to come back and try everything else... Thanks for such a wonderful meal 🙏 (also, it was great to have so many gluten free options!!)
Such a delightful place to come and enjoy fresh and delicious food. My friend recommended this place to me and I was hesitant at first but the lovely lady at the front went out of her way to make my Butterchicken fries gluten free to accommodate my allergy! Very pleased with the service and will be coming back again!
The food here is amazing. Its all very fresh and super tasty. Tons of options like home made, gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian. We love the Pho and get it almost every day of the week. I would highly reccomend this place as it truly has a little bit of everything and the staff are super nice, hardworking, and welcoming people! :)
Friendly Staff - Good spot for Vegans/Gluten Free - Sports and brunch in the move
Sunday funday brunch spot! Came here so we could watch sports and enjoy breakfast. We got the regular Eggs Benedict and eggs and toast. Portion sizes were good! Staff was super friendly, but the food wasn’t anything I’d rave about. Wouldn’t go way out of your way for a meal here but if it’s in the area it’s a decent spot to check out.
My favourite casual viet restaurant!
I’ve been here twice now and both times had a great experience. The first time, I happened to stumble upon the place. The second time, I drove out 25 minutes just to dine here. I love that they have two full pages of vegetarian options. I came here with someone who eats meat and they also really enjoyed the food. Options are also a reasonable price for a good portion of food.
Highly recommend the spring rolls! Super crispy and flavourful.
The service was also so friendly and great both times with different servers. Very efficient. They try their best to cater to different dietary restrictions including gluten free and vegan.
Overall excellent restaurant!
If you are gluten-free, do not eat the banana bread. I did. I paid over $5 for it. It's not gluten-free. It's not even very good. And if gluten makes you sick, like it does me, trust me when I say you don't need to pay $5 for something that takes like sugar bread that will cause you gastro and other issues.
*In response to the reply by Trees, if gluten free products are cut and packaged in the same area where wheat flour products are, cross-contamination occurs. So any gluten free product handled in these areas will cause issues for your patrons.
Came here for my anniversary but the server did not take our allergies seriously and kept trying to push items that didn’t fit our dietary restrictions, worst of all they gave me the wrong main that had gluten in it and I’m celiac. The servers attitude was also quite pushy and giving I know better than you and acted like he knew what was gluten free and what wasn’t even tho the items that are gluten free are labeled on the menu. The server was pushing one item so hard we asked him three times to check with the kitchen if it was gluten free or not because he said it was and after we pushed him to check he came back and said yeah it’s not gluten free. The only nice thing about this place was the view but throughout the dinner I kept contemplating throwing the dishes and cutlery over the patio and into the water because of how frustrated I was with them

I recently ordered the gluten-free pizza from fresh slice, and honestly, it was the worst I’ve ever had. The crust was so thin it was like eating paper, and there weren't many topping options to choose from. The pizza I ordered came with a few small pieces of chicken, pepper, and mushroom, but when I took out ONE slice, there were barely any toppings at all. In fact, one slice had no toppings whatsoever! It looked terrible and tasted just as bad.
I really don’t recommend ordering the gluten-free pizza from this place. The quality is just not there.
I was really pleasantly surprised by how many options this place has for vegan and gluten free folks! And by the prices, which are lower than other places that offer the same style of food. The service was pretty good - they could have been clearer when we explained that we had never been there (there are a LOT of different options for how you can put together your meal in terms of choosing sides and proteins to add on), but we figured it out. Overall, I had a delicious meal at a great price and I will definitely be going back.
The service is always amazing!!! They always have great energy and are kind 💕 They're pretty fast too!!!!
It is a rip off though for charging $3 for the gluten free crust. That's on the company.
And hope you get proper mushrooms, not canned ones, as it changes the flavor significantly.
