I have been to 7+ several times and each time I have never been disappointed. Yesterday I returned with different needs, as I discovered I am gluten intolerant. I was speechless in front of a visibly wonderful and exceptionally tasty pizza. Unlike other places, here the gluten-free pizza is worthy of being called such.
Firstly, everything on the menu is available without gluten which is why we chose the place. The gluten free was very good and the burger bun was fluffy and the burger itself was not too small. My capricciosa was possibly a little soggy and a little stingy with tomato sauce with the ham was unusually good and the base itself was good. The staff spoke better English than in many other places and it was no problem to neither be understood nor understand what the staff said. I would recommend this place if you want to eat quite late (they don't open before 7:45 PM) and can't eat gluten.
Amazing place! Very good food, everything is gluten free and delicious!
I had pinsa, arancini, pasta, apple pie, nutella pie, fries, everything is so, so good.
I went there during day time and during night time and all the staff members were helpful, nice and offered good customer service. Special thanks to Lorena who is very sweet and so helpful!
Will definitely come back!
Top Top Top. Whether classic or gluten free, a delight. Cooked on the spot in a relaxed atmosphere. Very kind and super helpful people. Don't waste your time looking elsewhere.
Everything is very good, from sweet to savory, a point of reference for gluten-free, with a single flaw, the prices, which in some cases are too salty (bread at €12 per kg)
We came here because, after many days of fried foods and typical cuisine, we wanted something different (and above all with gluten-free options for me). We had a great time, the food is cooked with great care and there are many original gluten-free/vegetarian/vegan choices. The possibility of composing our own dish also gave us the opportunity to taste more dishes! The managers are very kind and the environment is really welcoming. Absolutely must try!!
I am celiac .. and I ate divinely the first time .. so much so that I decided to return to celebrate my third degree and everything was wonderful.
Very kind and helpful owner.
Kind and welcoming staff, but above all super attentive to my needs and requirements.
Top food.
Obviously we will continue to choose you for our evenings of extreme relaxation and good food.
My husband and I spent three days in Catania (in addition to being pleasantly surprised by the city), we looked for a restaurant that served gluten-free dishes, we read the reviews and trusted what was published, the best choice was made, the owners and staff were very kind, we had a really good time and ate a lot. We dared to try a pasta with sea urchins and for us who come from Sardinia we can say that the exam was passed with flying colors.
I recommend getting a reservation, available for 7:00 or 9:00. We did not have one and were seated since we showed up at 7:00, but the turned a lot of people away after us. Gluten free pasta and bread were available.
Went for a weekday lunch at Street 54 Trattoria Coppola. Sat outside on the sidewalk (loud with vehicles zooming by). There’s tables in the alley hidden around the corner. Service was friendly, waitress spoke English. Coperto was 1,50€/person.
They can do gluten free pasta (not stated on the menu) excluding the stuffed pasta. No extra charge for GF, only one option (penne).
- Penne senza glutine Street 54 (15,00€) - wrapped in tin foil. Good mix of seafood
- Penne senza glutine alla norma (10,00€) - eggplant was tasty, salted ricotta cheese paired well with the sauce. Pasta was al dente
We came to this place starting from the Google reviews among the places that have an outdoor environment and we were literally and pleasantly amazed by the well-kept, clean and comfortable location both inside and outside, by the kind and impeccable service and by the quality and goodness of the food.
Specifically, we ate a delicious fried fish, two pizzas, one of which was gluten-free, 1/2 liter of house white wine and a generous slice of pistachio ice cream cake.
The bread is delicious and made by them.
Important note for those looking for gluten-free: one of the best pizzas ever eaten, with abundant, quality ingredients. The thoughtfulness of bringing morsels of gluten-free bread along with the fish starter was an attention not noted in other places.
Finally, the price was honest and reasonable, especially in relation to the quality of the food, including gluten-free food.
Already recommended to other people and certainly next and future stop.
We had to wait a little while for our table but this was not a major problem. However, the menu was on boards and no table menus were given out. The waiter had to go through each dish and describe it individually (and remarked on how “Sicilian” everything was). Overall, the portions were relatively small but this was not the worst thing about the food. There were four of us at the table and two got their dishes first, after which the other two had to wait another 25 minutes for their food to arrive. By then, the first two had already finished their food. The food that came first was very good even though the portions were quite small. However, the food that came later (the other was gluten-free) tasted like cat food. It was pasta with tuna and the tuna was clearly from a can; nothing you would expect from an Italian restaurant with 4.7 stars! Overall, nothing recommended for tourists. The only plus was that we got a “sorry drink” after the meal which they offered as an apology and if you are a tourist, a plus might be that they spoke English.
It's a cozy little restaurant/wine bar in a beautiful part of town with historic buildings. The staff was super friendly and informed us from the start about the gluten-free options. Octopus salad was super fresh and delicious. The fried small fish were gluten free, not greasy, very fresh and very tasty. Wine selection was great. We chose Frizzante. Caffe was first class. Would recommend you.
Excellent food, hyper inclusive (vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and lactose free). Kind and knowledgeable staff. I recommend it for a quick lunch or a dinner with friends
Excellent dinner, all the dishes we ordered were excellent. They have a lot of really good gluten free options! Many compliments must also be paid to the staff, Marco and Albrid were very kind and helpful as well as being very professional, you can see that they do their job with passion.
Highly recommended! If you pass through Catania you absolutely must go there!
Be careful going to this place because it is not even worthy of being called a restaurant! They also put your life in danger... we ask for a gluten-free dish, it arrives at the table, reassuring us that it was absolutely gluten-free and after having practically finished eating, another waiter arrives, apologizing and saying that they had the wrong course and that it instead contained gluten... After taking 2 Bentelan and almost risking anaphylactic shock, we recommend that there is a pregnant person and that everything was cooked to perfection and that there was nothing raw... What do you think comes to the table? Pasta with raw lobster and raw parsley on top... Maybe they should change jobs since they put people's lives at risk... Instead of apologizing, the owner made us pay for everything in full and didn't even apologize for the happened.. in fact he railed against us... Donna so to speak.. very unimportant and rude.. To be closed down
If you are looking for a place to enjoy creative and tasty toasts, you can't miss Capatoast. Located in a lively area of the city next to the Rinascente in Catania, this cozy place is the perfect refuge for a quick lunch/dinner or an afternoon snack. As soon as I entered, I was struck by the informal atmosphere and modern design, with bright colors and minimalist furniture that invites you to relax. The menu is very rich in options, with a wide selection of toasts ranging from classics to more daring and innovative combinations. I personally chose an excellent Caesar salad. It was a perfect balance of flavors and textures, with fresh and high-quality ingredients that were clearly felt throughout the palate. There is the option to customize your toast by choosing from different bases, toppings and sauces. The staff was extremely helpful and ready to suggest the best combinations. Capatoast is also attentive to dietary needs: I noticed vegetarian and gluten-free options on the menu, which makes the place accessible to everyone. In short, Capatoast is a place where creativity meets quality. If you are a toastie lover or simply looking for a quick but satisfying meal, I highly recommend you stop by. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is the prices, which in my opinion are high. I forgot....they also accept meal vouchers as a payment method.
Excellent trattoria whose specialty is fish. Truly excellent food, from raw to fried and excellent spaghetti with clams. The steak ordered and eaten with gusto by those who didn't want fish was also very good. Obviously there is no shortage of cutlet (breaded with ancient grain crumbs) and chips (fried in clean oil) for children. I would like to point out the friendliness and helpfulness of the owner and chef Giancarlo, attentive to the needs of the guests, who allowed me to eat the fried food made with gluten-free flour and the sgaghetti with gluten-free clams. Last but not least, the warm honey rice crisps made on the spot "home made" and the friendliness of the staff. Balanced prices. See you soon
Went to this restaurant on the recommendation of friends. Very beautiful environment with warm and relaxing colors. The place extends over two large rooms, they made us sit in the second room. The service was very quick and the guys were helpful. As for the sushi, it is certainly high quality with very good combinations. Our experience was very positive. With us there was a guest with gluten free needs who also appreciated it very much. We will definitely be back, keep up the good work
Pizzeria restaurant in the central street of Catania with several seats both outside and inside.
The quality of the dough and ingredients is excellent; friendly and helpful staff.
They also offer gluten-free dough for both pasta and pizza.
Great gluten free pasta
We ware already two times there, good quality product, every thing was tasty including sea food and other pastas.
Great service, carrying about customers needs especially when we are talking about gluten free food, we even got gluten free bread as starter
Fab night on photogenic street in heart of Catantia. Tintikkia was a pleasure. Catering for gluten free was a bit of a challenge. We enjoyed the food, wine and atmosphere.
Unfortunately I went because I was thinking of eating gluten free. A disappointment because the offer is limited, but then......where was the bread?? Grilled vegetables...simply indicate raw seeds and scorched oil. But also the offer of classic first courses is very limited and of questionable preparation. The service is not very synchronised. My partner's dish arrived 5 minutes after mine, unfortunately. I was hoping for better, given the reputation. Lots of popularity but little substance
