Came here for a quick lunch while visiting The Hague. I have celiac and a celiac-safe gluten free wrap is available. Staff is knowledgeable and my wrap was great!
Super delicious food! Really great! Reserved because they appear to be a restaurant where you can eat gluten-free, they more than deliver on this promise. Very nice if you have someone with gluten intolerance in company. Also many non-alcoholic drinks options, which is always nice. Had a great evening!
A wonderful café with character. Delicious breakfast, truly great and friendly service. And if you can snag a seat in the back garden, it's a dream in the city. Numerous vegan and gluten-free options, and a great selection of drinks. Highly recommended.
We eat here regularly. The price-quality ratio and the service are excellent. Fresh fish, delicious sushi, mussels, etc. And friendly service. There are also many gluten-free options, such as fries and sushi with (gluten-free) soy sauce. Beautiful restaurant with a nice terrace and a view over the harbor.
We had dinner here on Tuesday, February 25.
We had:
Poffertjes
A pancake with goat cheese, apple and honey
Two starters as a main course: bread with spread & crispy chicken salad
The pancake was nice and thin, tasty and well topped.
The poffertjes were very tasty and for my 9 year old daughter there were even too many.
The salad was really delicious!
Highly recommended.
I would include this with the main courses as an alternative for people who might want to eat fewer carbohydrates, for example.
Although I don't know how many were in there now.
The dishes can also be made gluten-free or lactose-free.
Very nice.
The staff were very friendly and attentive.
Nice people in the service.
Just keep the door open and such.
Only tip: bread with spreads indicate that it is only brown bread.
Happy Tosti is a super fun and unique lunch restaurant in The Hague that is known for its relaxed atmosphere, delicious sandwiches and social mission. It's not just a place to eat your favorite comfort food; Happy Tosti combines tasty food with an inspiring story.
Why Happy Tosti is special:
Creative sandwiches: The menu is filled with surprising sandwich variations such as a sandwich with goat cheese, walnuts and honey or a spicy sandwich with chorizo and jalapeños. There are also vegan and gluten-free options, so everyone can find something tasty.
Happy Tosti is a "social enterprise," which means that they provide employment to people at a distance from the labor market. For them, inclusivity is crucial, and you immediately feel that positive vibe when you enter.
The interior has a cheerful and creative look, complete with swings instead of chairs! It is a place where you can relax and take some nice Instagram photos.
Happy Tosti on the Korte Poten, in a cozy neighborhood full of nice shops and restaurants. It is in a perfect location if you want to have a nice lunch after a morning or afternoon of shopping
Social mission
At Happy Tosti they not only strive to serve delicious food, but also to make an impact. Happy Tosti employs people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups, and that makes every visit extra special. You know that you are not only getting a tasty meal, but also contributing to a good cause.
To try:
"Toasted Hummus Avocado" (delicious and vegan!)
"Tosti Pulled Chicken" with cheese and BBQ sauce

Happy Tosti in The Hague is more than a lunch spot – it is a combination of culinary creativity, a social mission and a cheerful atmosphere. Whether you go for a classic or a unique sandwich, you enjoy your food while contributing something positive.
Delicious gluten-free pizzas. You can choose all pizzas with a gluten-free base (they go in the same oven as the other pizzas). They also have gluten-free pasta, but I have never tried it (pizza lover).
There was plenty of choice to choose from, even for people who are gluten intolerant. The service was very friendly, the food was tasty and the courtyard had a nice atmosphere.
It was my first time and i was very happy about all the care the waiter put on my gluten free order, he was very helpfull and he explained everything for me. I eat the chicken biryani and the moni roti (kind of flat herbal bread) and it was so good, the portion was also very big (could not finish it) and the price was fine also, not too expensive for the amount of food. I was very please with the restaurant over all.
Had a delicious meal here with 2 children and 2 adults, with well-filled pizzas. Not all staff speak Dutch well.
We had 1 who had to eat gluten free. He had a pizza, which was tasty and had no problems afterwards. Dessert went a bit strange, with the older service he couldn't get anything, when we ordered we had a young lady and then he could get ice cream. Then there were some kind of smarties on it, which came from Italy. They couldn't say for sure if it was gluten-free, so they swapped it for ice cream only. That was no problem.
It's a shame that not all the staff are equally well informed because the food was delicious.
Celebrated my 60th birthday here with 27 people. We had a BBQ that was perfectly prepared. Neat plates everywhere for gluten-free, vegetarian, etc. There was delicious salmon, spare ribs, hamburgers, chicken satay with sauce. Sandwiches, fries, pasta salad, regular salad, quinoa salad, grilled vegetables and all kinds of sauces. Everyone was very pleased with the food, they all enjoyed it. The service was perfect. The space we were allocated was also great. Just like the weather. All in all a beautiful location to celebrate your party.
Had a nice lunch here, they have delicious gluten-free bread! That makes me happy now. However, it was always very difficult for me to understand the gentleman who made my sandwich because of his accent. This seemed to irritate him, but there was nothing I could do about it. He just didn't speak good Dutch. The atmosphere is, like most Subways, very basic and not very cozy. It also didn't have a toilet as far as I could see.
Delicious pancakes, even gluten-free upon request!
Anyone who has celiac disease knows how difficult it is to eat out gluten-free and, above all, contamination-free. Luckily that's possible here!
Service was excellent and they are knowledgeable about safe gluten-free preparation. We recommend!
The restaurant offers gluten free pancakes, no cross-contamination :-) Pancakes are made separately and in a separate pan. The staff is well-informed about the preparation of gluten free food :-)
Thanks so much for making our visit in Scheveningen so much easier with our son who suffers from celiac disease!
Excellent, modern menu for Christmas. Good adjustments for less alcohol and for a gluten intolerance. For the most part very expert service, adapted to the table. Not cheap, but worth it!
This was great! We arrived without a reservation and it was full. The nice lady parked us in the sun for a while and when the table was ready she called us. The quality of the food was good: I eat gluten-free myself and that was perfectly fine. They even provided a gluten-free nougat for tea. Very attentive. In short, the food was very tasty and the ladies serving were very hospitable and friendly. Highly recommended 👌
Cozy restaurant. You can eat very well here if you have specific dietary requirements. For example, I could eat gluten-free, lactose-free and without garlic (onion, garlic, etc). It tasted very good.
The service was well thought out and helpful.
In my opinion, highly recommended.
Delicious food, many options for gluten-free dishes, even had separate French fries and gluten-free rolls. Friendly service. Surprisingly good for a museum restaurant.
Very lovely vibe cafe with some nice art on the walls and cozy decoration. Friendly warm welcoming staff. I had the grilled bread with smashed avocado (vegan) and latte macchiato with oat milk (side note: no cookie with the coffee). While waiting for my friend I ordered the same portion for her also, she has tomato allergy and the portion had tomato on it, there was no mention about it on the menu (I wish there would have been a list of the main ingredients). Therefore I am mentioning it just in case it's helpful for others. The food was fresh, tasty and nicely presented. I think it would have been even better with the house kimchi extra that I didn't order (which I regret a little bit). Especially when there was no vegan mayo with the portion (the non vegan options seemed to have more sauces). At least there was no misleading information like in some other places that claim to have vegan mayo but when you order it is not available. Still I would be pleasantly surprised if a cafe did have vegan mayo, it would be thoughtful. Personally as an avocado bread fan I would have liked some slices of it on the plate, even though it had smashed avocado it was not much visible underneath the other ingredients. But I could see there was still a lot of thought put on the presentation and added spices so the bread was still highly on the plus side. Someone on a light diet would definitely be happy with this kind of portion. I would definitely recommend this place for people who like a cozy little gem of a place on a side street. Wasn't too busy or packed up like some of the bigger cafes. 5 vegan options on the menu and some gluten free cake.
Really a nice place. You enter the place and it smells already lekker !
The ambiance is warm and cozy.
They also had some gluten free options for the pasta.
+ they are dog friendly
Really only bonuses, we will come back!
The need for gluten-free food was very well taken into account. Very attentive and friendly service.
Unfortunately, the eggs benedict was a bit disappointing.

Near the Plein in the center of The Hague: you can get there in no time. The food is delicious and every dish has its own taste. They are very willing to accommodate diets: gluten-free, lactose-free, nut-free, etc. The prices are great. The service is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is modern and tastefully decorated.
Very tasty hamburgers. I had the Bacon Cheeseburger and it was like heaven on earth. I loved the gluten-free idea of it being wrapped in lettuce. That adds an amazing freshness to the burger.
Great restaurant! I am honestly addicted to their sushi and often order sushi here. The restaurant experience is also pleasant. In addition, they took my friend into account who has to eat gluten-free. They have specially prepared a rice and meat dish separately gluten-free!
Recommended items to order are the flambéed salmon nigiri, the sashimi and the sushi king roll.
It just makes me excited as I write this review!
Beautiful decor and atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and went the extra mile to ensure that my meal was gluten free. I cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you wonderful ladies of Cafe Blossom for making my first day in the Hague relaxing.x
Simply great! We received a very friendly welcome and our dog was given treats straight away. Very nice, harmoniously furnished location. The service and kitchen team took care of gluten-free alternatives for me. We had the 3-course menu and it was really delicious and varied for the palate!
The only thing that didn't take ages was getting our table.
Food was ok, service was ok, but we waited sooooo looooong for everything, from a bottle of water, to drinks, to our 3 courses of food.
One good side was having gluten free options.
All in all, not really worth the price unfortunately.
Had a delicious vegan (and gluten free) pizza. Even better than the one I had in Berlin, which has a lot vegan + gluten-free options. They have several gluten-free options on the menu including a mon cherry cheesecake: yum! Would definitely recommend to visit the Vegan Pizza Bar in The Hague, Rotterdam or Utrecht!
