Best gluten free restaurant we've found in Yorkshire. It was great being able to enjoy 95% of the menu, rather than 5% of the menu. My wife and I had an excellent meal and the service from the staff was superb.
Big selection for lunch. Able to cater for a gluten free diet. I have coeliac disease and found out their waffles are suitable for me as all waffles are gluten free so no worries of cross contamination!
We enjoyed a wonderful two course meal here on Sunday evening. The food tasted exceptional and the choice of gluten free was really impressive across both the mains and desserts (I am sure starters were great too). Our waitress, Charlotte, was knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you
Had a great meal here with my family 2 weeks ago. I mentioned I was gluten free, a sin a I know in an Italian, but the staff were amazing! They immediately sent a senior member of the team over and discussed my options with me. They were very accommodating and made me feel totally normal, sometimes when asking for GF we can be made to feel like we are being difficult just for the fun of it! Each individual server was clearly also made aware and so as each course was brought out they double checked I was the person needing GF, and even commented not to steal any of my partners chips as those ones were not GF.
All in all INCREDIBLE service that made me feel very confident in what I was eating. Not to mention the gluten free pizza was incredible! My family even commented they couldn’t taste the difference when they tried it! Makes a change from the usual cardboard pizzas that’s for sure!
Thanks so much to all the team!
Bouncy cheerful staff on a Sunday lunchtime. Not very busy. Quick service with good hot Yorkshire Tea. Sweet potato fries were crisp and very tasty. Catered easily for a gluten free vegan.
My family and I ate at the quirky farm bistro today for lunch.
Firstly, the owners were extremely friendly, accommodating and very attentive, we really enjoyed chatting with them during our time at the bistro. Supporting local businesses is our top priority when dining out.
They are also dog friendly.
We required gluten free and vegetarian options, the menu accommodated our needs and there were many options available for us. The food was hot and delicious, we would highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere independently run, with great customer service/owners and excellent food!
Friendly, attentive service. Lovely food and reasonably priced. Excellent vegan selection (and also gluten free). Extensive drink selection and desserts (shame we were too full to try them).
Very popular place, highly recommend 😁
It's really hard to explain how good this place is; the food is brilliant, there are so many options and we're Gluten Free and they're so good. Many of the dishes are GF and they offer GF breads too.
Service is brilliant and not too quick.
Book today - You will not be disappointed.
Beautiful proper British Tea experience. Betty's had options for gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan. Many teas to select from and was able to try any of them.
Very lovely!
Have been there a few times now - both socially and for corporate meets with dog in tow no less, and every time service and food has been excellent. A great range including veggie and gluten free options and prices ranging from fairly cheap to normal, so you won't break the bank. Atmosphere can be a bit hit and miss in that unless you get a booth, you are out in the crowd so can be a but noisy and not as private, but overall, with the friendly faces serving you, that is easily overcome. The only other tiny niggle is after all done, takes while for the bill to come - but really, this is an issue only if you are looking for a speedy getaway - for those not wanting to rushed away, that is perfect :)
The café is upstairs on the floor above the shop. Quiet, genteel oasis. Friendly service. Very clean café. Homemade and gluten free options. Milk alternatives available. I had a pot of Yorkshire tea with homemade treacle tart served with pouring/clotted cream. Nicely presented. It was a very reasonable £5.25 in total. The well stocked shop downstairs has an extensive range of goodies and gifts too numerous to mention, but all enticing, trust me! Yes, I would revisit.
I wanted to eat here because there was loads of gluten free vegan choice which is pretty rare. I'm so pleased I went because the food was amazing, extremely tasty and was served really quickly. The decor is pretty and although it was busy it wasn't too loud. Definitely try here if you are gluten free, all the noodles are rice and the soy sauce doesn't contain wheat! (You can see all the ingredients of all the dishes on the allergen menu)
We thoroughly enjoyed out meal. Highly recommended for Gluten free and vegan/vegetarian . Meat option also available. But they are very support of dietary requirements. Thank you
A great pizza restaurant that caters for gluten-free diets with a tasty pizza base, gf dough balls and desserts. Plenty of seating, quick service and reasonable prices. Enjoy your visit!
Went on a busy Saturday night. Not enough staff so they were running around 100mph. Food was good but we had to ask 3 people to bring our drinks order. They were more attentive to the bigger groups. We had the mixed meze which was quite large and good variety. Menu says they can cater for gluten and dairy free but they never asked us. When we asked for gluten free pitta bread we were told this wasn't possible.
I can't recommend this place enough!
Amazing staff, lovely clean restaurant, the food is amazing and you get loads. All at a great price to.
This has to be my favourite restaurant 🙂
I'm gluten free and they will adapt a meal so I can have it.
If your in Harrogate you must call in and have a meal...
You can eat in or take out.
Nice enough place, put waiting 35 minutes for food - 2 sandwiches - is not acceptable (2 other tables walked out before their food came). Staff food came out before lots of customer orders.
For those wanting gluten free, they do gluten free bread but it is the very cardboard like . Genius' bread.
A bit overpriced for the amount/type of food and service. Seems like a fun place for kids. It is very noisy with bad music, though few customers. They have a gluten free menu which is very helpful for people with food allergies and makes it worth a visit.
Wow, what can I say - I love this place!
Great atmosphere, great place for a pre-dinner drink, great service and fantastic food.
I also have a gluten/wheat intolerance which at times makes eating out difficult. As soon as I mentioned this I was presented with a menu highlighting which food was suitable for me and personal recommendations from our waiter. The range of dishes offered was superb. I can thoroughly recommend the Singapore Crispy Prawns, Bang Bang Chicken and Green Chicken Curry! If you've not been here and love not just Thai but oriental food, you need to put the Orchid high on your list!
Great hardy meals.
Services was excellent, very friendly and helpful with gluten free recommendations.
The lamb and the cauliflower cheese where delicious 🤤

Such a lovely restaurant. The atmosphere was lovely and relaxed. The staff were so friendly and attentive. Especially Prat who was so helpful and guiding me as to what dishes were gluten free and safe for me to eat. The food was outstanding! We will most definitely visit again when back in the area.
Stumbled across central cafe, and glad we did, my wife is a very sensitive coeliac so finding somewhere that does a gluten free option can be quite rare. My wife had the homemade burger on gluten free bread, I went with the hallumi cheese burger. Good but not massive sized portions but everything is prepared fresh ( you can see the chef at work), really tasty food a decent freshly made coffee and friendly and attentive staff. A great little place, I'm sure we'll be back.
Oh we couldn't leave without try the gluten free cheesecake, lemon tart and a macchiato, we weren't disappointed.
Very disappointing gluten free experience.
Purposely chose the ivy as have ate here before and always enjoyed the food however now I’m gluten free it’s clear there’s been little thought gone into this with minimal choices to choose from and when a choice was available such as steak there wasn’t any gluten free chips to have with them so neither here nor there. Chose shepherds pie in the end and despite this being delicious I’ve eaten bigger mince pies so left very hungry and straight to Morrisons local for some top up snacks.
Would be happy to topped this up with a side but little choice and nothing that complimented my dish.
Staff and premesis were great as usual but have always viewed this establishment as a high end restaurant and assumed they’d be innovative in this area with there menus choices but certainly not the case.
Hopefully this improves as not a choice for me and my family anymore.
Great food and lovely staff. There are clearly marked options for veggies, vegans and they do gluten free options too, so it's a great place to go to cater for different needs. They also itemise the bill per seat so it's really easy to sort the bill for big groups.
It wasn't my first, or last, visit to the Tannin Level. It's a well established restaurant, with a great reputation.
The atmosphere has an almost romantic feel, with thoughtful lighting throughout. Despite being on the lower ground floor, it felt spacious. However, it can get a bit loud when it's busy.
Service was friendly, professional and mostly efficient.
I really liked the menus. There's focus on in season produce and with local provenance. There were clearly marked vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options.
The food was delicious and well presented. I really appreciated the balance of flavours and textures. I felt the portion sizes were about right.
Having a simple option like fish and chips on the evening menu would have been welcomed.
The best Food ever. Hubby who is gluten free nothing was too much the free bread olives and tapinard Hubby was brought out 4 slices of gluten free bread to have.
He was also able to have a gluten free pizza which was freshly made he was in heaven
Me I had a medley of fish with home made fries and a delicious bowl of mixed salad freshly made without any
peppers or chillis as allergic to these.
We then finished on an alcoholic Italian ice-cream.
All staff very friendly and accommodating and reasonable prices

I really like this place. The food and drinks are lovely. My favourite is the Hong Kong style char siu sandwich but they have lots of more “traditional” ones as well.
The soufflé pancakes are great, even the gluten free ones.
Lastly, the owners/managers (?) are really friendly.
The staff made me a lovely Gluten free sandwich of my choice from scratch. They also discussed at length all my Gluten free options and I left with a gorgeous Rocky Road cake and a cookie. Thanks
