Great cafe with delicious food and drinks! Great selection of gluten free options. There's plenty of seating upstairs and downstairs. Dog friendly and really helpful staff. Table service and pay at the till. Well worth stopping in if you're in Penrith.

Recently diagnosed with coeliac and ordered gluten free fish and chips with an other order.We arranged to collect the meals at 5.30, the meals were ready, my gluten free food was well labelled and absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed my gluten free fish, the batter was amazing. Well done Sandgate Chippy x

Really nice cosy tea room with good selection of freshly cooked food. They have excellent gluten free options including tea cakes and crumpets (and use a separate toaster). Great for coeliacs.

A great place for a quiet lunch. It is family friendly, but large enough to cater for all. Ahead of the game with regards to the need for allergen awareness and offering alternatives that taste Great! Cannot speak highly enough. Food gluten free and flavourful.

Charlie was fantastic! Best service, made sure the gluten free meals had no gluten in them and double checked for our table. Glasses were always full and he had a great atmosphere too him always smiling and helpful.

Decided to follow a road sign on the off-chance yesterday. So glad we did. Lovely little cafe in an idyllic position. Having found a seat the owner polity asked if we would mind sitting upstairs as she had just taken a booking from a person with limited mobility. Glad they look after such customers. Absolutely no problem. Service was great, staff friendly and food was excelant. Lots of choice for my wife who is celiac.

Delicious meals and catered for gluten free dietary requirements. Home made burger was best I've had in a long time with GF burger bun. Nice to be able to bring the dog, plenty of space and dog treats made Ollies day. Thank you.

In my opinion the best cheese scones in Cumbria, beautifully soft and delicious 😋 Lovely coffee, setting and staff. Went with my daughter who had a gluten free scone which she said was amazing (I didn't get a chance to taste it, it was gone!) Lots of other gluten free options. Well worth a vist 😊
