Advertised on line as Gluten free. Had food intolerance signs up, people left reviews, saying best gluten free fish ever. waited for 40 minutes in the queue, only to be told “ we don’t do gluten free here. UPDATE YOUR GOOGLE SEARCH. Shambolic.
Exceptional service,
I am gluten free, and both servers took extra care, and washed their hands and used napkins before handling my plate.
So impressed
Thank you
Plenty of gluten free (inc. pasta and pizza) and vegetarian options, few vegan as the menu is dairy heavy.
My wife's seafood pasta came with items not included in the description (e.g. cream sauce, octopus). The pizzas were generous, if a little caught on the crusts.
When sitting out in the conservatory it can warm up quickly, and it was surprisingly bright in the evening (7pm) as the sun comes around. Would recommend sitting indoors.
The service was very attentive. Nice venue interior.
1st visit here today for me wife has been a couple of times with work.
This restaurant is an absolute gem in skegness the appearance is gorgeous the food stunning and staff friendly pictured if my eldest sons gluten free hand stretched wood fired pizza which is made fresh in house GF pasta dishes also available.
There is a bar area if you need to wait for your table or just to pop in for a drink with a log burning fire.
We will definitely be returning 5☆ isn't enough
I have a Mother-in-law that dissects every dish she orders, a celiac wife and an autistic daughter that will only eat a limited diet. Well done the Windmill, you did a marvellous job. All the meals were excellent and the puddings were delicious.
All the staff were superb. The orders were taken and the food brought out in a very reasonable time.
Most of our meals were lovely, besides the chicken curry as the chicken was too dry. However the children's meals, the steaks and the hunters chicken were perfect.
Unfortunately one meal arrived missing onion rings, however this was quickly rectified. The gluten free meal was plentiful and again, very tasty (I also had the steak), and the menu was also clear on which meals were gluten free, dairy free or both. Again with the vegetarian/vegan menu, it was clear to read and several options available.
The free soft play and outdoor playground were loved by our children, and the entertainment was very good.
The downsides are that you have to order your food from one till, but then need to queue up again to order drinks as they will not allow you to order them with your meal.
Further, one of the entertainment staff was rather short with us when we attempted to speak to them. We simply wanted to ask if they could say happy birthday to my daughter, and we did not approach them whilst they were busy or performing etc, however she was very short and dismissive. Even a polite "no" would have been acceptable.
Overall, we would gladly visit again if we were to be in Ingoldmells.
Nice restaurant, very attentive service, the food is prepared fresh so making dietary changes was easily accommodated. I am gluten intolerant (+ vegan) and my son is lactose intolerant, neither posed a problem.
In Skegness for the week and this was the best meal we've had here. It was busy, and deservedly, looks like a popular venue.
My mother and I came here for a quick lunch following an appointment.
It was a pleasant place to eat. Food was delicious. A very big bonus is that literally all their menu can be gluten free upon request...😊
