Went on a Saturday evening with my husband and newborn - we only had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. I have a severe gluten allergy and they were very accommodating. We started with the GF focaccia (delicious), followed by GF chicken Marsala and my husband got the spaghetti and meatballs - it was all very good! Server was knowledgeable about what I could and couldn't eat with my allergy and we had a very pleasant experience. Visiting from Maine, but will be back on our next trip!
We had Big Mike’s Pizza cater our serve team party, and it was a huge hit! Everyone absolutely loved the pizza. Eric’s communication throughout the process was clear and professional, making everything smooth from start to finish. The variety of pizza and salad options was perfect for our group of 100+ people, and we especially appreciated the gluten-free pizza option for our guests with dietary restrictions. Highly recommend Big Mike’s for any large event—you won’t be disappointed!
My all-time FAVORITE coffee in the area! I don't require gluten free but I love their gluten free orange cranberry muffins. I had a favorite coffee place in Manhattan and every time I drink their cappuccino it takes me right back there. It's perfect.
This place was such a great find while visiting Venice! The owner was so helpful when talking to her about allergens I have to avoid. She showed me the ingredients on the gluten free bun package. The service was outstanding as well as the food. Kindness goes a long way! Recommend to everyone!
First and foremost, Sharkys has a separate gluten free menu with lots of choices!!! Bless you and Thank you! The lobster artichoke dip (served with corn chips) was PHENOMINAL! And the mahi fish tacos had a nice healthy portion of fish! The wait was an hour for inside seating, 75+ min for outside. This was around 5:30pm on a Friday. We'll worth the wait! I can't wait to go back and try something else. If you would like a quieter dining experience, sit indoors. Outside, to us, was very loud, between the people talking, music in the restaurant and the guy on the pier playing a sax, hosts announcing tables over the PA and the ocean. Overall a really good dining experience!
Great spot by the ocean to enjoy some fresh seafood. Delicious food and drinks (get something it’s the beach). Also they had a gluten free menu for our friend. Ashley was the best and super helpful when it came to picking out food, drinks and the GF menu.
Quaint little breakfast eatery. Indoor and outdoor seating. Fruit was fresh, French toast had gluten free option - superb. Italian eggs with cheesy hash browns- delicious. Everyone is so friendly, helpful and accommodating! 100 stars. Try it yourself.
Oh- the apple cider mimosa- divine!
We eat there at least once a week; I have been a patron for almost 20 years. I am celiac so have to maintain gluten free diet and must always be cautious of cross contamination. I am also vegan. I have never had an issue. The food is always very tasty, the staff and owner are warm, welcoming and very accommodating. Love this restaurant!
Had a very nice meal sitting at one of their outside tables on the sidewalk. A bit noisy but otherwise there are plenty of tables inside. Service was really good. Lots of dishes to choose from. They made the chicken breast dish gluten free for us.
The food and service were both exceptional. They had plenty of gluten-free options as well. Tansel, our waiter, was fantastic. This place is a must visit.
Love the food. Also many gluten free choices. My only complaint would be that since the wine is not really good they should have at least one gluten free beer choice.
Perfect, reasonable small boutique restaurant with authentic south American empanadas and alfejores. They also have vegetarian and gluten free options. The clerk was super sweet, encouraging my daughter with practicing her Spanish. Check it out if you're near Venice FL!
You must visit Mon Ami Cafe in Venice if for no other reason than to get their delicious Turkey Avocado BLT. It’s typically served on a croissant but I like to get mine on their gluten-free toast. I don’t usually eat bread but this makes me feel like I’m not cheating all that much. The Sandwich comes with just the right amount of nicely dressed salad and a wee collection of the fruit de jour. The whole meal is the perfect sized lunch for most appetites. But if you’re still hungry there is a wide selection of decadent desserts in which to indulge. The atmosphere is bright and inviting. Some small groups meet here for nourishment as well as to chat and perhaps enjoy a card or board game. Check it out. But I encourage you to try my favorite—the Turkey Avocado BLT and while there say hello to Chef/owner Sergey, most recently from Ukraine.
Great subs! We did a sub comparison and this place won hands down. Try the Cuban, you won't be disappointed and they have a really good gluten free bun!
Best sushi around, thai food is amazing too!!! Love the panang curry and that their sweet and sour is gluten free! One of my favorite places to eat in the area.
Coffee shop owner Gary Lauters has established a lovely coffee house with an in-house roasting service in the heart of Venice, FL.
The products are unique and of surpassing quality: smoothies, iced and hot coffees of varieties you'll likely find nowhere else, pastries, mixed coffee treats, French press made to order, truly fresh-roasted beans from around the world, sandwiches, bagels, croissants, paninis, shakes, Rishi teas, house truffles, apparel, and works from local artists. They offer gluten-free and vegan
All of the goods are made on site, so one can certainly be assured of freshness. Everybody is quite fastidious about the quality of the product and the service was particularly friendly and swift. Our serveuse, Savannah, was particularly bright, quick, and friendly.
The products all seemed amazing. I certainly enjoyed my "Bullfrog" (chocolate/mint/espresso served iced or hot). My friends raved about the cold brew. However, I found that above even the superb quality of the products they craft, the knowledge and passion brought by the proprietor was remarkable.
He was kind enough to take my whole party back to the roasting area and gave us an interesting tour and discussion about coffee production from seed to cup. When one learns of his professional credentials, it's not a big surprise that his considerable knowledge is heavily bent toward coffee. He could easily be among any number of executives in corporate coffee, but from discussion, it is plain that he has a bone or two to pick with some of the titans of the industry, primarily for what they are doing to biodiversity. In chatting with him, you'll find that personal relationships have a great deal to do with the varieties of coffee he offers. Many of these varieties are of sorts from small harvesters that don't receive much exposure from larger businesses.
You owe it to yourself to make a stop, have a chat, and maybe learn a little something in the bargain.
We have come here twice after church on Sunday.
We have absolutely no complaints!! The all you can eat BBQ chicken dinner with unlimited sides is well worth the money. The waitstaff is great. We appreciate the variety of BBQ sauces and that they have Stevia Sweetened and knowledgeable about gluten allergy. There are also so many options for better-for-you sides like cucumber salad, green beans, and collards. We will be coming sometime in the week for other all you can eat options.
My pasta has to be gluten free. I am a celiac. Troy makes my pasta with fresh water. He is amazing and just gets it! Kathy the bartender is always happy and on top of my order. She makes sure that we are taken care of. This is the first time we had Alecia at bar and she was great too. Kathy taught her right.
Gobsmacked. Gluten-free dinner here. I ordered the cauliflower crust and the wings. Fryer is used for other non-gf items but if that level of contamination is okay with you the wings are large, juicy, flavorful.
The pizza. I stopped eating. Flagged down the server and made my husband try the pizza. I was preparing to get sick. The server then said, I get asked this all the time. The owner proudly came over with the box from sysco displaying the ingredients. I kid you not, this is the best pizza I have had in 3 years. Run, don't wall gluten free diners to get really delicious pizza that isn't overly cauliflower!!! 🤯🤯🤯
Stopped in for dinner because we had read the gluten free seafood penne was good. My wife ordered it, but the sauce was really salty. It was ok, but not what she had hoped for. I had the shrimp and gross and it was great. Service was good and happy hour was nice.
Really great pizza and great prices! A lot of places have super running off the slice grease on their pizza. These slices are perfect without the access amounts of grease from other places. Everything is delicious and the staff is friendly and welcoming! I visit once a week for a slice special. Have recommended others to come here also. The restaurant is also kept clean and tidy, and bright inside.
I mean look how huge this slice is! Perfect for a lunch without buying a whole pie! They even have a gluten free pizza for those with allergies.
What a hoot! Old style Florida on the Myakka River. Great food and beer selection and a separate gluten free menu! Outside picnic table seating in a natural setting on the river. Canoe and kayaks for rent. And live music that was terrific. Fun place that takes you away from the usual beachy scene. Boat tours available too! Keep your eyes peeled for gators.🤭
Great meal and great server! One gluten free person, one vegetarian, one person who doesn’t eat cheese, and one meat lover, yet we were all satisfied. Joy, our server, was attentive to all our needs and made it a wonderful experience.
Culver's offers some of the best fast food that can be had. If you're gluten-free they have a wonderful warm gluten-free bun in a separate package that really makes a great sandwich
“Louie’s Bistro is a gem in North Port, offering a fantastic selection of fast, easy, and healthy alternatives. As someone who values gluten-free options, I was delighted by their menu. We ordered a BLT on gluten-free bread and a tuna wrap without the wrap, and both were amazing. The atmosphere is inviting, the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, and finding parking was a breeze. Louie’s Bistro is definitely a must-visit for anyone looking for a great dining experience in North Port!”
Looks can be deceiving. Behind the simple store front is magic! Their food is always of the highest quality and made with care. As a celiac I struggle to find a Chinese restaurant that has gluten free options. They are so kind to have taken the time to go over the menu options with me, making sure that I choose the rice noodles over the others that contain gluten. There has not been a time that I haven't been met with kindness and patience when ordering at Pings. I would highly recommend them over any and all chain Chinese restaurants.
Gluten free pizza was the only thing on the menu GF except salad, no gluten pasta options.
Piles thickly with bland cheese, yhe only fkavor was overpowering raw garlic to the point of inedible.
