We started with salads, and my friend had gqrlic bread as well. Then, I had the gluten free Penne and Italian Sausage, and my friend had Dee Dee's Tortellini Carbonara. We both enjoyed our meal, and there was more than enough in the portion sizes. I also got the Death by Chocolate cake to take home, because a gluten free dessert is rare and it was chocolate.
Our waitress was also wonderful and friendly, and helpful with our questions. We will definitely be going back!

My friend and I dined here the first night we arrived in Galena and had such a great experience that we decided to eat here the next two nights also. The place has quaint cozy bistro vibes. The food is delicious and flavorful, our favorite being the hangar steak. The kitchen easily accommodated my gluten free dietary needs. There is an extensive beer list and a good wine list. But the strength of the establishment is the very friendly attentive service of the wait staff and chef. I have never felt more welcomed at a restaurant or well attended to. Apparently they don’t like seniors here. You have to ask for the discount if you don’t ask before they total your bill forget it. It’s too late They’re not suppose to assume you’re a Senior so you’re just out of luck. Oh and I paid $1.20 for a gluten free bun the fell apart on bite 3.

Delicious lunch at Big Bills. I’m dairy free and got a turkey sandwich with bacon, red pepper, mayo, and lettuce. Super soft yummy bread. Chips and pickle on the side. Chips are giant slices of potato with light seasoning. My GF husband got the same sandwich with a GF bun. My dairy free kid had huge chicken tenders. Probably one of the safer gluten-free dairy free options for us in downtown Galena.

Delicious food (i always get the nachos but everything else also looks amazing) and a great atmosphere! The service is quick and it’s a great place to grab lunch or dinner. Also, i am gluten free and it’s super easy to find things here that i can eat! I recommend the nachos or burritos bowls, and staff will change their gloves before making your order if you ask!
