TLDR; quiet neighborhood, nice views, outdoor seating, highly celiac friendly
This restaurant is ironically set back off of route 9 in a plaza that seems to be otherwise vacant. Fortunately, the vacancy means there’s quite a bit of vegetation overgrowth. The views from the patio here are surprisingly lush and because of the plaza vacancy it is fairly quiet.
My celiac friend had a wonderful time as their menu caters heavily to gluten-free options that are actually edible! We got a burger and fries accompanied by chicken tenders and fries. Both were delicious and her meal didn’t taste gluten free but based on her lack of illness afterwards, it was definitely gluten free. We’re very happy this place exists and highly recommend checking it out!
Also, Dave our waiter was awesome and helped us very quickly move indoors when it began to rain. We are very appreciative of Dave.
I have celiac disease and can't eat gluten. They have a big gluten free menu including a gluten free bun for the really delicious list of cheeseburgers they make.
Friendly staff that rarely gets an order wrong. Goes fast. Good gluten free options for breakfast (hash browns, gf bun, scramble bowls, some sauces), and grilled chicken for lunch/dinner gf options. Check if they have gf buns before you order.
We LOVE this place. We travel a full hour just for the gluten free options and mocktails. It takes a special place to get gf, non-alcoholic options AND the atmosphere perfect, and this place has nailed it. We first came for New Year’s Eve, and absolutely LOVED the espresso mocktinis, so we just had to come back. Their pasta is so good and the pizza options are just so delicious - this gluten free white pizza I had had nuts on it! Highly recommend - go try this place out, and make sure you come hungry!! You’ll want to eat the whole menu 😛
Excellent food, but not good on Gluten free
Food was really good, service was tough though. The main thing to note is that while they have a dedicated fryer, they are not careful here and when they clean the fryers they strain both fryer oils into the same pot and then re-use the oil...which means that they are not really able to do gluten free frying. Also their staff is not trained on how to discuss it. My daughter went there and then had her eczema break out right after our dinner there, she heard from them they keep it all separate and do a good job and then found out this wasn't the case when she broke out. This is something if they are trained right on how to do it they could correct but right now if you are gluten allergic don't have anything fried @ the Coop.
Aside from this the food was pretty good, and the menu has a lot of options. I would say that service at this location wasn't great, when we stopped in.
Amazing food, but asked for gluten free, and got warned, while being served the food, which items weren't safe (and they forgot to mention the sushi roll had beef marinated in soy sauce, which at least I knew from ordering. The food I could eat was amazing!
I happened by this Jersey Mikes when I was driving somewhere and I was starving so I pulled in. Quite frankly, I never thought I'd be writing a review for fantastic service I got at a subway shop, but that's why I'm writing. Let's face it - the food is always good at Jersey Mike's but what made this experience great was the staff at this particular location. They were friendly, engaging, smiling and laughing with each other and none of them gave me a dirty look when I ordered gluten free (I'm celiac so it matters to me). One employee even mentioned "we'll take good care of you!" (referring to the gluten free preparation). Great service! I only wish my local Jersey Mikes had such fantastic employees!
Not only is the food amazing, but they were fabulous about making sure my food was gluten free and safe. I ordered over the online app and left it in the comments that I was cross contamination sensitive. One of the items I ordered was fried in shared oil and they 1) knew this was a problem 2) labeled it thoroughly 3) added a safe alternative to my order. It's so awesome and reassuring when places take gluten free seriously.
If you go, the chicken and rice is incredible. My kiddo LOVES the paneer kids meal too.
Not impressed. Seems that others agree as place was nearly empty. I thought they would be more similar to the Mansfield location which is so much better. Very few gluten free options
We always make a point to stop here when travelling through - service is always super friendly, food is delicious, and they have gluten-free bread which is rare to find at a rest stop.
