This is a really nice establishment!
I came here hyped up because I read There was vegan options on are the reviews Plus Google had mentioned vegan
However, the staff isn't very well trained on what veganism is, and this isn't somewhere I can recommend for a vegan to go
Yes, they have vegan cheese on their menu but I'm not sure if they understand that vegan means it will not have any animal rennet in it, any dairy, any mono or diglycerides
They for sure do not have a vegan safe bread, they have gluten-free which is not vegan safe, and a sourdough, it having sourdough means old rotted disgusting dairy milk turn bacterial before it was cooked. You can order the build your own but you have to add every single vegetable to it so your sandwich will be over $15 when you're done, and you're still going to be at risk if you're vegan for the breads containing Dairy products, eggs, and mono and diglycerides.
So no, there is nothing vegan safe about this place unfortunately for us vegans
I did however decide since I was here and fixing to have to drive 3 hours to the South I might as well customize myself a sandwich call me it's just bread with the fixings and their vegan cheese.
Thanks for the sandwich, but please try to work on your vegan menu gluten-free just means that it doesn't have the male sperm part of the flower in it. That's all gluten is is the sperm of a flower. There's nothing to do with being vegan. Vegan means nothing that ever came from animal or a living source, as the cells in animal rent it or biologically animal, that means anything with cheese or monoglycerides cannot be included on that list, a vegan safe list.
So once again to the managers, train your staff, gluten-free does not mean vegan
Terrible service, cold and bland food, tortillas fell apart. Server literally shoved my plate onto the table, pushing the cheese sauce out of the way, which almost caused it to spill. Had to ask three times for water. Husband got glutened even though we were careful to explain his need for no cross contamination.
I used to eat at Johnnie's with my family lots when I was younger. Took my wife here and it was exactly like I remembered! Food was great (and there was a lot of it). Staff was a little unenthusiastic, but overall I enjoyed it!
Also, their gluten-free burger buns taste great!!! :)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hands down, the best gluten-free pizza I’ve had — not just in Oklahoma, but in almost every state and even a few countries. Bella's Pizza in Oklahoma City blew me away. My husband is a total pizza connoisseur — I’m talking eats, sleeps, and breathes pizza — and just about every trip we take includes a pizza stop. That said, this place is easily one of our top pizza spots in the entire country.
The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and you could tell everything was made to order. Nothing felt prepackaged or rushed — just real, quality food made with care.
Now, about that gluten-free pizza… WOW. It was packed with flavor and had the perfect crunch. None of that sad, greasy, bottom-burnt, fall-apart situation you sometimes get with gluten-free crusts. This one held up like a dream, tasted fantastic, and left zero regrets.
10 out of 10 recommend. Bella’s has absolutely earned a spot on our go-to list.
I can't eat here anymore. Twice now I've ordered medium original sandwiches on gluten free bread and the employees are too blind to see that there's mold all over the bread. Completely disgusting. If they're not trying to kill you with gluten, they'll do it with moldy bread.
I ate ther recently & got a salad with double protein-beef barbacoa & carnitas. I used to love Chipotle & eat there often, but I'm not sure I'll be going back any time soon after this visit. 1. The prices have gone way up--it was over $16 for ONLY the salad with 1 extra protein. I had a cup of water with it. 2. While the prices have gone up, the quality has gone down. This meat was the nastiest, fattiest meat I've ever had at any restaurant, much less a Chipotle. I'm not talking about little bits of fat on the edge of chunks of meat, but just the opposite. Literally CHUNKS of fat with sometimes a little meat on the edge. Like, chunks that were the size of a half-dollar. I pulled out as much as I could because it totally grosses me out, and I ended up with a pile that was equal to or more than one of the servings of protein. I know that the employee saw at least some of them because she actually removed them from my salad & set them aside when she was preparing my food. The pile I accumulated didn't even count what she had already pulled out. 3. These items used to be gluten-free. I can only assume they still are because I haven't held a bad reaction since eating there. Before ordering, I asked the employee if they were gluten-free, and she had no idea nor did she make a single move to find out.
I didn't say anything about any if it while I was there because I had no confidence that it would make a difference, and that's on me, but that meat should never have been put out to serve. I'm both disgusted & disappointed. I'll stick with Qdoba from now on.
Absolutely delicious, huge portions, and so reasonably priced! I can't eat anything with gluten or dairy and they had a wonderful gluten free vegan selection to choose from. The tortilla soup in a bowl was fantastic. My new favorite place for sure! Our delivery driver was also great, even though I know delivery service isn't directly through Qdoba.
I have eaten here many times in different locations and in different states. I have not once eaten a meal that was not fantastic! Absolutely the friendliest and most attentive staff.
Favorites are the homemade chips, mushroom Swiss bison burger w/ garlic aioli, nachos. The bison meat is not dry. It is juicy with a great flavor. They have good tea.
Clean restaurant.
Clean bathrooms.
Plenty of parking.
They have gluten free buns
Do. Not. Go. To. This. Location!! After calling in a very small to go order and being told it would be ready in 15 minutes I arrived to an almost 1 hour process. After paying I was told it wasn’t quite ready yet and received my drinks. I then waited another 45 minutes at the counter with several people asking if they could help me, me explaining I was still waiting on my order, they would go into the kitchen and then not return with an explanation. I finally ask for the manager and she explained they were very busy and gave the excuse that my gluten free sandwich was a “hassle” to prepare and caused it to take even longer. Once I finally received my order it was cold, missing salad dressing for the salad, and the gluten free sandwich that was so much of a hassle was incorrect. I just gave up and ask for a refund at that point.
Hidalgo's is the absolute best place you'll ever eat in a strip mall. Ask for Renee, he's a great server, very attentive, informative, & fast.
Hidalgo's has vegetarian, vegan, & gluten free options. Lots of wonderful seafood dishes too. They're also happy to make substitutions so don't worry about inviting your friends with specific dietary preferences. There's something fantastic for everyone! I especially appreciate that the veggie items aren't just some meat dish minus the meat, it's an actual properly thought out meal
The cocktails, desserts, chips & salsa are also all great. The cucumber margarita & mango spicy margarita are my favorites but I've never had a bad drink at Hidalgo's. They're very generous with their portions & pours too. I always leave with a buzz & a to-go box.
Gluten and soy-free diner here. Thank you, Tristan, for your help yesterday at lunch. My bunless All-American burger and baked potato hit the spot! Further, my stepsons enjoyed their sandwiches as well. We look forward to dining at your restaurant again.
They did the best job I've seen yet with my lettuce-wrapped burger. (I have an issue with gluten, so I can't eat a normal bun.) I appreciate the care they took to present mine appetizingly.
