Great food, nice atmosphere, great staff. They have gluten-free options. I ordered Eggs Benedict, and it was great.

A spacious spot with river views from every table, but could use a good clean and update; service can be slow despite being well-staffed.

We usually love the Rivershore but it seems to have been going a little down hill. We all know prices are raising everywhere but it is quite dramatic here. For the money you pay, I would expect a cleaner restaurant. There were cob webs throughout and flies flying around inside. My father in law had plastic in his Alfredo. The server did remove the cost for it but no manager came to speak to us. The chandelier next to us was covered in spider webs and had two spiders crawling around! We don’t mind paying for the yummy food and ambiance but for the price, the restaurant could use a good cleaning and updating. I also wish they would mark items as gluten free or whatever other common allergens. Edit: we came back a few months later and the restaurant was noticeably cleaner 🙂

Last night at dinner with my family I had a frustrating time that turned into a very sweet and thoughtful experience. I’m gluten free. Going out to eat is always a gamble with exposure so I ask a lot of questions to try and safeguard my health and minimize exposure. At times I feel like a pain having to send the wait staff back multiple times to check on ingredients. (I was never made to feel bad here, it’s in my head, the staff as all very accommodating) When my plate arrived I double checked with the server that it was all gf. I was assured it was. After taking a couple bites of the “baked” brussels sprouts our sever came back over and told me that they were flash fried at the end, in the same fryer as other items. I was super frustrated by this, but also thankful. She didn’t have to tell me. Once my family was done we were approached by a manager who said his wife’s best friend has celiac so he understands how hard it can be going out. He said that they would be going over the menu that night to make changes to make it more transparent. He also comped part of our bill (I didn’t end up eating my dish). Let me tell you, this was above and beyond. I was blown away by his compassion and willingness to help others feel welcome. It left me in tears, happy tears. We will definitely be back. I also want to note that it’s refreshing that the kids menu is not just fried food (baked chicken, noodles, burgers).

I could grub down on Mesa food all day and absolutely love that they’re open in the mid-morning. They’re one of the only places in DTOC that’s open 7 days a week and before the dinner hours. The owner is very accommodating to his guests when he’s in the building and hustles in both the kitchen and at the bar- it’s cool to see. The food is very authentic and I love that EVERYTHING is made from scratch! Down to the chips and all hot sauces. Really love sitting outside in the summer and it’s a great blend of sports and sophistication for date nights. My husband can keep tabs on the game and still stay engaged in conversation over great food and drinks. A win-win! Pictured is the avocado tostada. There are so many vegetarian, Gluten free and vegan options, here. So thankful!!!
