Do yourself a favor and GO EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT! Third visit yesterday was even better than the first two times :) Sat upstairs again and enjoyed the breeze from the opened doors.
Special shout outs to Heidi, our server; to Amato (sorry if I spelled your name wrong); and to the chef. The food is SO good (wish I would have ordered more to take home) and the service flawless. Heidi was attentive, professional, friendly, and her advice on food choices was spot on.
We had the grilled Romaine salad (we will ALWAYS order this incredibly delicious salad); two of the specials: Red Pepper Soup with Shrimp and fried Spinach (not a drop left in our bowls) and the Seared Scallops with Asparagus and Risotto (scallops were cooked to perfection and the pesto and spicy chili sauces were perfectly balanced); and steamed clams in bread bowl (plus gluten-free bread for two of us —which Heidi encouraged us to try after we said there is no good GF option for bread. It was great!)
So go, you’ll be happy :)
A lovely little spot. Tasty food and great service. I enjoyed and can't really find any real fault in the whole experience! They are well accommodating for gluten free folks as well which was much appreciated.
Fantastic food, friendly staff, and tons of vegan options! This place has been here for years, but this was my first visit. It's a small, cozy space, but with plenty of tables and pleasing decor. The staff was super friendly and answered all our dietary questions.
And there are SO MANY vegan options! Even the mango sticky rice dessert is vegan! They also have many gluten free choices!
Highly recommend giving this place a try!

Was pleasantly delighted in the beet rueben special, large delicious sliced beets with a yummy slaw. I was asked if I wanted house fries as a side - large potatoes came out so a little disappointed. Really shouldn’t be sold as “fries”. As for everything else ordered at the table (burrito, brisket skillet, and kids mac) was just okay.
One meal did not come out until most of us were done eating. No apologies or acknowledgment that it was clearly forgotten.
One person in our group has a gluten allergy and they were very confusing about how they ensure no cross contamination.
I love the food here. They have gluten free options which is great for me and my mom. The street noodles with curry are the best and you can easily change what you want in them. People do complain that some of the food can be a little bland but that is only some of the dishes.
Loved the experience, loved the food! My wife has Celiac's and very rarely feels full after eating anywhere. However, she got her fill here and was very happy to have such a nice place to go.
The guacamole and chips were chunky and delicious. The blood orange margarita was perfectly mixed. The carnitas tacos were flavorful and the lime added a good kick. The corn flour tortillas were not crumbly and they held together well. Flan was the right amount of sweetness, but not too much.
Will definitely be coming back.
A couple of friends took us here after walking at Ridley Creek Park. I had a cappuccino and my wife had an Iced Green Matcha Tea with Honey and Oat Milk. Both were delicious. Cafe Isla is a cool place. You can relax with nice music or work on your laptop while having a drink and a healthy snack. They have a selection of baked goods including gluten options.
Have never been disappointed. I have been coming here for years and is my absolute favorite local French place. Delicious soup d' jour and super gluten free friendly. Cute little outdoor space too
5 stars because of the quality of ingredients and the variety to suit different dietary preferences they have is really good. Checked all my boxes and I eat mostly organic. There were also gluten free and vegan options for food. I love that they support local and do fair trade. A big one for me is that they have Swiss water decaf! It’s really cool that they do kombucha too!
However, its a huge bummer they still don’t allow seating indoors. Hoping they feel more comfortable to do that soon.
You may need to be patient to receive your drink order when it’s busy, but it’s worth the wait.
For the best experience, I suggest you go there with a friend and sit outside on a nice day.
This was my first time here and it was amazing! We went for Mother’s Day! My sister has a gluten allergy and there were many options for her which was nice! Staff was amazing, nice and attentive! Food was so good! The restaurant it self is adorable! Def recommend! The limoncello martini is to die for! We will def be back! So glad I found you on google!
Gluten free tacos and rice bowls. Great smoothies. Great little area. Very nice. Love the food. 10/10
Shrimp bowl 10/10
Mango smoothie 10/10
Short rib braised tacos OMGGGGGG 20/10
Didn’t really like the burrito.
Magnificent food. We got Chicken Tikka Marsala & Chicken Korma at a Lv2 spicy ++ some apps. Wife doesn’t like spice, I do. She felt 2 was perfectly fine for her pallet. I could have been a bit spicer(will do next time) but overall great taste. Plus most of their entree dishes are gluten free which is a plus for having a wife with celiac. We will be returning for sure!
Food: The food did not have much flavor. I had to use a lot of hot sauce in order to taste anything. I had the Tacos Gringos with chicken and the Tacos Mexicana with chorizo. The meat did not appear to have any seasoning.
Cute place. Vegan and gluten-free options.
Service: The waitress asked, "How was everything?" She was GONE before I could open my mouth to answer. Perhaps she really didn't want to know?

We recently had a dual graduation party here and it was outstanding. From meeting with me planning the party, to helping with my room decorations, the staff was amazing, so kind and helpful. Shane was extremely accommodating to our need for gluten free as well! Everyone at the party raved about the food, drinks, service and atmosphere! I highly recommend having an event or just going for a drink at the Towne House!

Excellent gluten-free pizza! The crust is crispy and delicious enough to eat every crumb! The sauce and cheese were well-balanced and everything I could have wanted. The server was very attentive and helpful. I wish the dine-in area were larger but it was fine. Definitely recommend and will return.
This charming little restaurant has some of the most attentive, informed, and kind employees of any restaurant I've visited recently. The place has a wonderful atmosphere and the food is absolutely delicious. I have celiac disease and usually have very limited items to choose from, but Rye Byob had so many wonderful options. I will definitely return.
Have some of the best pizza options in the greater Delaware valley. Their gluten free pizza is fantastic. Additionally, they have a cast be list and a great tap list.
I've been here twice when visiting Media and both times the food and service were excellent! They have a great selection of pasta and other dishes on the menu and a variety of beverages, there's some gluten-free options as well!
The food is pretty good, though sometimes overly salty. I like all the gluten-free options and the fact that the menu is labeled with allergens. My main issue with this place is the volume of the music. It's so loud that you can barely hear your waiter or hold a conversation. Please turn it down to normal levels!
