I booked Hugo’s catering for an event and got a lot of positive feedback from my guests. The taco buffet had a good selection of fillings and toppings, the portions were good and the food tasted fresh. Hugo’s offers dairy free, gluten free and vegetarian options, so everyone’s dietary needs were considered. The delivery was on time and everything was warm and ready to eat. I also added a margarita kit and churros for dessert- both were a hit. I would recommend for your event!

The brand of Gluten Free tortilla they use is Tofayan. They stay soft even after being in the fridge overnight, I even ate it cold. This location is good about preventing cross contamination and their website has a break down on what has what allergens.

One word: Incredible! Who would have that 5 star Mexican can exist in newton Surrey, but it does. They are located on the lower level of the old Surrey restaurant. When you enter the decor is very modern with a chill vibe. The menu is just the perfect balance of authentic eats and classic flavours. A perfect selections of tequilas and jarritos sodas. They do have pop water etc. but go for something more authentic. Tortilla chips and homemade salsa are provided free of charge to start. The salsa was amazing. We ordered the Birria tacos and the pork quesadilla with tortilla soup and a side of guacamole. The guacamole was so good I ordered a side to take home and some flan for dessert. The Birria tacos were crunchy and the meat was fall of the bone juicy. The service was friendly and professional. I was very pleased as someone with Celiac disease (no gluten or wheat) of how many menu options I could choose from. Finally for those who may think this is overpriced, clearly you haven’t been out to eat lately. This is a decent range for quality Mexican food. We definitely will be back.

Best staff ever!!! Food is great, staff is great. They will even go out of their way to take extra precautions for allergies and other (celiac). Even when the lunch line is huge, they hustle and get you your food quick! I eat here about 1-3X/week and have never been disappointed.
